Starts right up and gets you anywhere you’d need to go, towing anything you want to. The legendary 12-Valve Cummins truly doesn’t show its mileage—very minimal blow-by (normal on these), no abnormal smoke out the exhaust, great oil pressure, and no knocks, pings or other abnormal noises. The Bosch P7100 Injection Pump on these engines are the best available—they are a small engine in themselves. This truck has never been tampered with or turned up in any way nor has the fuel been turned up. This truck leaks a little oil, like any good Cummins should. The previous owner had the transmission rebuilt but could not remember at what mileage. The transmission shifts crisply and has no OD issues. This rig is bone stock with the original air box, and exhaust with catalytic converter. Never been messed with in any way. This truck also has factory rear overload springs particular to the Camper Specials. Exterior: The body is straight with a recent paint job to correct rock dings and the usual Dodge clear coat peeling. There has never been any major body damage anywhere. ABSOLUTELY NOT A SPECK OF RUST. All the exterior lights work well. The bumpers are in above-average shape with no dents and the plastics are not coming off like most 12-Valves. The bed of the truck is especially clean as far as these trucks go, and has no rolling between the bed supports. The truck has a rear sliding window. Interior: This interior is Tan, and is overall in great shape. The headliner and dash (common Dodge problems) are in great shape. The only area of wear in the interior is the driver’s sun visor, which has a tear on the corner. This truck has all the options -power windows, locks, sliding rear window, overhead console with outside temp, cruise control, power mirrors, unfortunately the 6-way power driver’s seat only functions in the forward back mode. All gauges and lights work as they should except the fuel and temp gauge both read a bit low. Overall this is a very nice truck for someone looking for a 4x4 12-Valve and is very presentable. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. Its perfectly appropriate to put your spouse or parents in and your kids wont be ashamed being seen dropped off at school in this truck Truck has a clean and clear Arizona title in hand, and includes the original owner’s manual and all original keys. Diesel Power Magazine declared the 1996-98 Dodge Cummins to be the 1969 Camaro of diesel trucks. You can make a lot of power from these trucks for very little money and this one is a clean slate for any mod's you might want to do. Also they will burn black diesel or veggie oil with no problems.
