ALL EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT WILL BE DISCONNECTED AT THE TIME OF SALE. Up for bid is this restored 1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Police Package. This is not an original LAPD unit. It is an original Police Package car. It was owned until recently by the State of California and was utilized by the Northern California Youth Center. It never had any emergency equipment, just a radio. It has been restored to resemble a Los Angeles Police Department unit. Since acquiring this Crown Victoria, we've had it painted in the correct black and white paint scheme for LAPD. There was zero rust on the car, only a few small dings and scratches. The interior is original and still in very good condition. The seats, door panels and floor mat are excellent. The dashpad does have some cracks from the sun but a carpeted dash mat is included and covers these cracks. Mechanically, the car starts and runs fine however we have not driven it any significant distances. The power windows work fine, the power door locks are not functioning. The A/C needs to be recharged. The odometer shows 93,773. The odometer is not working, nearly every Crown Victoria of this vintage we've had has had the same problem where a plastic gear in the speedometer head gets brittle and breaks from age. We have the State of California Log Book showing that the odometer stopped working March of 2008. The log book shows the odometer was working up until this point and it was only used three times since that date. While we can't guarantee the mileage, we don't feel it is much different than what is shown on the odometer. This is a private party sale. The vehicle is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. Vehicle is still titled to the Northern California Youth Center and bills of sale will be provided. Buyer to pay a non-refundable $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of auction end via PayPal or a overnighted cashier's check. Balance is due within 7 days of auction end. Keep in mind that this car is 21 years old and is not going to be perfect.
