Dodge Challenger 340 rallye 1973 low reserve! 114,717 Original miles, 340 c.i. engine, A727 trans and sure-grip rear. Modifications: Rear spoiler, T/A front tips, hood pins, more. Upgrades: Edelbrock intake and camshaft, valve springs, billet Centerline wheels, s.s. brake lines, pads and rotors. fuel pump, distributor, coil, wires, radiator, dual-feed Holley carburetor, headers, air shocks, Radio/C.D. player and more. The good news: This challenger is real rallye with hood-scoops, tach. and 150mph speedo., 340 cubic inch engine, sure-grip rear differential and A727 automatic transmission. T-handle Slap-stick. Rear valance cut-outs for dual exhaust, front and rear anti-sway bars.The engine last ran about 2 months ago and sounded great without any knocking or tapping. It has 114,717 original miles and I've owned this car since about 1980. All gauges work (the clock intermittantly) and is a great candidate for partial or total restoration. The car was rust-proofed years ago. All original emblems and lettering are on the car and with a little work it can once again be a head-turning, vintage muscle-car that you'd be proud to own. I believe that this is an original, numbers-matching car. The bad news: Rust in usual spots- rear-wheel wells, hood and spots on roof, trunk and floor. The engine needs to be removed to repair rear freeze-plugs that are leaking. The battery needs charging or replacing. The A727 trans is slipping and the exhaust needs replacing- I'm including the original chrome tips for your restoration. The front of the headliner is coming down and the rear seats, vinyl dash cover and carpet need to be replaced. There's a crack in the windshield but I'm including the chromed molding. Christmas is coming! What a great project for you and yours. I have owned and loved this car for over 30 years and am sorry to see it go but I'm hopeful that it can find the right enthusiast to bring it back to it's former glory.
