Vehicle Detail

This A is in very good condition. I'm looking for something new(er), so it's up for sale. Here's some history on the car. We did a "body on" restoration in 1997/98. Upon panel removal we found NO rust on the "A" pillar or inner fenders, only a few small pinholes in the rocker panels and doglegs, so they were replaced. The following is a list of parts that were replace at that time and since. New top and side curtains, SU carbs (2003), sending unit, Crane solid state ignition (2006), solid state fuel pump, water pump, t-stat, hoses, generator, starter, coil, 12 volt neg ground conversion by p o, front and rear bumpers with overriders, grille, badges, headlight trim, tail light assys, muffler, license plate light, license plate mounting relocated, door trunk and hood seals, air ducts, u-joints, painted wire wheels and wood dash by p o, currently has new Khumo tires. The speedometer was re-calibrated and the fuel gauge has just been rebuilt. Most of the restoration work was done by British-American Motors and an independent Jaguar shop in Orlando. The brakes and ignition change was done by an excellent British car mechanic near Williamsport. (I purchased the car in 1997 in Florida, then moved to Pennsylvania in 2003) The pictures show the paint to be in pretty good condition, but there are some blemishes to point out. On the passenger door and the trunk there are small blisters (see photos) Overall the paint can use a good professional buffing, but it's absolutely presentable as it is. The tonneau cover is older and is torn on the drivers side back corner. Perfectly functional if patched. The turn signal doesn't automatically return but does work fine manually. The car runs and shifts great. It was built at the end of the production for the 1500 pushrods, so all the factory mods that had been made over the years are in this car. Also included is a MGA Service Manual, a Haynes manual, an A-Antics manual, many years of Namgar's MGA magazine, spare parts including the old distributor and carbs, along with receipts, service info and pics of restoration. The car is to be "Sold As Is". Thanks for looking. Note: US and Canada residents welcomed to bid. E-mail any questions to Bob
