Open for bid with no reserve is this nearly 100% complete original 1971 Mustang project car. Original California car that has been sitting under cover since 1986 - the last time it ran. It was parked due to a transmission problem and stored as a project restoration that never happened. Mostly original paint, the car features all numbers matching 351 V8 2 barrel, Automatic, Grande trim package including vinyl top and Grande buckets and trim. Also has power disk brakes, drum rear, power steering and A/C (missing compressor brackets and hoses). It would have been almost rust free but for a minor fender bender at the right rear quarter that was poorly repaired (see pictures). Also a spot of rust on the deck at the bottom of the rear glass drivers side. The under side of the car shows only surface rust with solid floors and fender wells. The trunk floor has surface rust only and still solid. Thats the original carpet and interior shown in the pictures. Period floor mats go with the car. The car is exceptionally straight with the exception of that rear quarter. The roof has surface rust only from the vinyl top. The glass looks great and most all chrome and trim parts are straight, including an excellent vinyl top trim set, hard to find today. The wheels are period mags and I have the original spare.
