Here is a restoration project, it is an original car matching numbers engine, trans, bellhousing, starter, #107 coil ,and are the ones that it was born with on Feb 10th. This car has been in dry storage and was last driven in 1971.The previous owner purchased the car in 1959 and had owned it until last summer. He had removed the fuel injection unit and heads way back when { GONE } and installed a four barrel manifold and carburator like so many others!The engine # is FI28CS with standard bore and perfect pad, original crank, rods, Duntov solid lifter cam that it came with. The engine was stuck from sitting and we had to drill out the pistons to remove them, it will need to be bored 30 over and then will be all good and ready for rebuilding. The car has its original 411 Posi and 4 speed trans all dated correctly to this car as is radiator and is in great shape too . Yes, it will need the fuel injection unit along with the proper distributor and correct heads, but it will be a 290 hp fuelie when you are done, one of 1007 made and the car is originally red with white coves! There is only one frame issue and it is the rear most crossmember 300.00 in the catalogs, the rest of the frame is solid. The car has all of its original body panels and has one very small repair under the drivers side bumper, curb damage and very minor. He primed the whole car for some reason! The primer wetsands off exposing the red paint, he filled in the trunk iron holes along with the fuel injection badges but you can see them under the primer. The car is missing one trunk iron? I know , why would it not have both of them in the box! It needs the passenger side. The car is REAL and as described, 8000 rpm tach, air cleaner mounting holes where they should be for a 290 hp fuelie. The guy had a funky remote oil cooler and filter which you can see in the pics, the line goes through where the air cleaner intake hose was connected. So, let the bidding begin. I will welcome any inspections. I had a NCRS judge inspect the car and all numbers are good !!! I will not end the auction early! THE TAG ON THE 2 O'CLOCK BOLT IS THE CORRECT SHAPE FOR THE 411 GEARING, ALSO THE ORIGINAL REBOUND STRAPS ARE INTACT.
