Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is an original 1980 Porsche 928 Euro S with the M28/12 engine code. There were 3 versions of the 928 in '80: The base US version, with a detuned 220hp motor, a standard Euro with 240hp, and then the Euro S with 300hp. The Euro S boasted better flowing heads, a beefier camshaft and better flowing exhaust. The 1980 Euro S was the lightest body style of all the years of the 928, with one of the strongest HP motors, resulting in a stellar power to weight ratio. The 928S had more horsepower than the 911 and could achieve a top speed of 152mph. I purchased this vehicle 3 years ago as a collector car and it has been stored in the garage since then. Originally,I had the gas drained and replaced both the fuel pump and fuel filter when I bought the car. I also purchased a new battery, along with a new coil. I drove it a couple times, and then put it back in storage where it has been since then. The motor is very strong, having just a little over 98000 miles on the odometer. The transmission also shifts fine through all the gears. Sitting 3yrs, it needs another gas draining to get it up and running again. I also purchased the timing belt and water pump - they come along with the car to replace. The sunroof does not leak. All tires hold air fine. The brakes work fine. The paint is original and could use a repainting. The interior is in good shape, considering the age of the vehicle. The glove compartment latch needs refastened. The exhaust needs the rear exhaust pipe replaced. The previous owner installed an extra oil filter for additional protection of the motor. The blower motor possibly might need replacing. Either that or a fuse or relay replaced. The car also comes with the original tool kit, the Euro S owners manual, and my maintenance receipts. With sitting so long without driving, the car should be trailered. I had the front spoiler unbolted for ease of trailering - the spoiler is in great shape. The title is clear with no liens.
