Vehicle Detail

We purchased some years ago as a project and did not get around to working on it. It ran when we bought it and we were able to drive it onto the trailer. Once we realized we weren't working on "Ethyl," we sent her to a 'garage' to get the engine/transmission worked on. She was there for months, we asked about her and she was in work. A few more months went by, we asked, and they were still working on the car. These calls became more sporadic and we really forgot all about Ethyl. This went on for about 3 years! We recently learned that the mechanic was trying to sell Ethyl and contacted them to return the car. And this is what came back. After returning from orbit, we've decided that she is now a much bigger project than we can handle (kids, jobs, life!). We're hoping that someone out there has the talent and the skill to put this car back together! She really is a cool station wagon. We love the sliding roof over the back! All of the pieces and parts are in her. She just needs a lot of TLC! NOTE! The first photo (where she's in the driveway and the pick up truck is in the background) is when we originally bought Ethyl. All of the others are her current state. Please note: The photo of Ethyl in the driveway with a pickup in the background is a photo of Ethyl when we first got her. All of the other pictures are of Ethyl in her present state. On Nov-09-12 at 05:50:28 PST, seller added the following information: Added, November 8, 2012: The wagon is an old game warden vehicle so the floorboards are rusted through.. definitely needs a new floorpan. I had found an after-market one online. I'm not sure if Ethyl is a 259 or 289, but she is a Vif that helps.. if it matters I can check and see what I can find out. There is some cancer at the bottom of one of the doors, and the roof does slide. This Ethyl never had a backseat when we got her, just a long wooden slab. Might have something to do with being a Fish & Wildlife vehicle! On Nov-11-12 at 19:07:45 PST, seller added the following information: I have the signed, notorized title from the previous owner, but it will cost a couple of hundred dollars to have it transferred to a new buyer since the plates will need to be brought up to date.On Nov-12-12 at 19:00:12 PST, seller added the following information: 11/12/2012: Added a few more pictures, close up of rust areas.
