IT IS FINISHED IN SIGNAL RED AND COMPLIMENTED WITH A PALOMINO LEATHER INTERIOR AND COMPLIMENTED WITH A BLACK CONVERTIBLE TOP. WE JUST TOOK THIS IN ON TRADE FOR A NEWER VEHICLE FROM A RETIRED GENTLEMAN AND THE CAR HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF. IT HAS SPENT THE MAJORITY OF IT'S LIFE IN SUNNY RUST FREE CALIFORNIA AND ARIZONA. THE 300SL IS THE SAME CAR AS THE 500SL EXCEPT IT HAS A 3.0 LITER 6 CYLINDER MOTOR. THESE ARE VERY POPULAR SINCE IT GETS BETTER FUEL ECONOMY THEN THE 500SL AND THE MERCEDES INLINE 6 CYLINDER IS ONE OF THE BEST MOTORS EVERY PRODUCED AND WILL RUN FOREVER WITH MUCH LESS MAINTENANCE THEN IT'S V8 BIG BROTHER. IT HAS 228 HORSEPOWER AND A 5 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SO EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT A ROCKET SHIP, IT STILL HAS PLENTY OF POWER FOR THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE OUT THERE LOOKING FOR A FUN WEEKEND TOY. THE PAINT AND BODY ARE IN EXCELLENT OVERALL CONDITION WITH NO NOTEABLE BLEMS. BOTH THE SOFT TOP AND THE HARD TOP ARE IN GOOD CONDITION AND OPERATE WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. THE INTERIOR IS ALSO IN NICE SHAPE AND SHOWS VERY WELL FOR IT'S AGE/MILEAGE. MOST OF THE COMMON ISSUES WITH THESE VINTAGE SL'S ARE NOT ISSUES WITH THIS CAR.
