Vehicle Detail

69 Roadrunner 383 4 speed B5 Blue Coupe. Note this Car not road worthy. Needs total restored. Car starts motor runs rough, put in spark plugs & points, needs wires and good carb, car can be started and driven around my property. The 4 speed shiftier linkage has a lot of play (linkage bushing worn out) but goes in gear, shifts through the gears ok, clutch is ok, breaks don’t work have to be pumped 4 or 5 times, needs shoes and drums turned and bleed. Has large 11 x 3 front hubs, I would replace wheel cylinders , pulls gas from its original tank, does not over heat (about 165 deg.) when idling, headlights & taillights work, break lights & dome, wipers and a gauge or two. Car needs full rear quarters, probably inner wheelhouses (3 inch toward quarter is rusted rest toward trunk is ok) & trunk floor extensions may need replaced, trunk pan I would use. Right front fender is from a Satellite and probably put on out of adjustment, and door edge and fender when opening was bent, it’s not bad can be repaired, needs door locks, front and rear windshield needs fixed correctly (front was just epoxy in). No chrome trim for rear window, the floor pans, under carriage and rear frame rails and front frame rails are good shape had factory under coating which saved the underside. Little rust that is inside under carpet is mostly surface rust no rot. Underside of the car uni-body in very good shape. I would replace with full quarters panels, pin holes only in one spot at rear glass approx. 2” area visible on passenger side, the usually rust around the rear window this car has none, previous owner painted engine bay and sanded whole car then rough painted to keep from rusting. I went around car with refrigerator magnet, bondo only in one small area around the passenger front cow, and some around left door pillar (adding full quarter will fix that area), has bondo patching on both sides of quarters and above the wheel opens. I was told 383 is not original engine, but correct 1969 E383 for that year, 8 ¾ pig gear unknown believe it’s a single track, comes with a few extra chrome pieces and headliner bows, wipers, seats probably out of another roadrunner not the original B7/B5 blue. Has original seat belts, note not numbers matching, but still a true RR and worth restoring. I had intentions of restoring car, but do to job lost won’t have the funds, have two other projects to complete, did not want to take car apart, usually that when pieces are lost, fender tag I bead blasted to get layers of paint and rust off the see the numbers, no build sheet. Have a clear signed off title. Buyer is responsible for all transporting and transporting costs, location, Waxahachie, Texas 35 miles south of Dallas.
