im listing this 1964 chevelle malibu for the owner of this car ,he brought this car to my restoration shop and informed me that this car had been setting in his garage for 14 years and he had been driving it prior to him parking it in his garage ,, he said he always hoped to restore the car and has been buying parts for it however hes just grown to old ,, i put a little gas in the carburator turned the key and it started right up and puffed no smoke ,, i removed the cables from the battery and confirmed that all of the charging system was working, the oil light was on prior to starting the car and went off as soon as it started ,, let it run and get to temperature then put it in forward gear it pulled forward , put it into reverse and it moved backward then stoped ,, thinking it might be a linkage adjustment , however not sure , the gap between the doors and post looks good and the frame seems to be fine , he stated to me that this car is a completely orginal and numbers matching all the way to its orginal hub caps ,,, this would be a great car to restore ,, however as you can see from the picture like all cars this age it will require a lot of work and complete restoration,, this car will need new floor and trunk pans and rear quarters ,, he has a oem complete front dog house for the car ,front and rear bumpers , an additional complete dash and also 2 additional doors , i will list tomorrow the additional parts that will come with the car and also pictures , this car is being sold as ,, and i will require a 1000.00 non refundable deposit to be placed into my pay pal account immediately upon purchase of the car or i will sell it to the next highest bidder ,,, any one who is serious about buying this car may come see it prior to the auction end , i also know of a shipping company that is very reasonable and will delivery the car to your home ,, i will be glad to answer any questions concerning this car ,, however 98 percent of the cars i restore are mopars ,, so im not up on this being a chevy ,, i know their is a number on the front passenger side of the engine block ,, i will be placing that number on this site and im hoping it will help you die hard chevy guys to confirm it being the orginal motor of this car ,,, i also reserve the right to end this auction early so bid to win and happy bidding On Oct-13-12 at 12:39:33 PDT, seller added the following information: took additional pictures of the car and the new and additional pats for the car and hope site will let me get them on ,,, it appears to me that every piece of this car is here plus many new and additional nice parts ,,, if this was a road runner or cuda you couldnt pay me in gold to get it ,, this is just the way i like to fine a car for complete restoration ,, the body tag reads ,,, general motors corp , 01b,,, style64-5667--- kc---2420 body,,, trim 753---9191 paint ,,, acc-- v2mps--3c--5v ,,,, the number on the passanger front motor pad reads 4028de ,, in the trunk i found all new and still in oem packages malibu emblems ,chevrolet letterings and badges , new door post kick panels and trunk matt and the orginal book manual that came new with the car ,,, additional dash cluster ,nice front grill and trunk chrome and other addition extra parts for the car ,, all the windows row up and down in the car and the glass is in nice condition , the convertible top lifts easy and latched just fine and its metal appeared to be in good condition ,,, also for any one who wishes to purchase this car and finds some of this car is beyond the ability or they lack the tools to repair the car for an additional cost ,, im fine with doing the work in my shop ,, thanks looled at the fframe of this car its a very stong and box style frame that appears to me to be in good condition ,, i did see one small hole that was about 1/2 inch wide and maybe 2 inches long ,, however i dont see it being any problem at all and certainly a very easy fix ,,,, also looked at the panel metal around the front glass its in great condition and also the grill in front of the windsheild ,,, i see these cars restored seeling for 32000.00 dollars plus ,, for a lot lest than that i would completely restore this car ,, any one with additional questions and who wish to be a serious buyer may call me at 502-542-8222 ,, thanks virgil g
