This was the epitome of the luxury car segment for its time and even today, recieves stares and glances from everyone on the street. At a price of approx $110k in its day, the Rolls Royce Spur was the long wheel base version of the spirit. The Spur has a high degree of ride quality mainly due to the self leveling suspension, and the new Girling automatic hydraulic ride height control system. The production of the spur was from 1980 - 1989, with only 6,238 cars made world wide, as per rr.com.
This car seesms to have had 3 private owners, but please verify that for your selves. The upkeep on the car has been done, and no expense was spared to make this Roller a nice, nice, preowned luxury car. The servicing on the car was done about a year ago, and the last few issue's were serviced by Moorespeed in Austin, Tx.
With some examples on the market today that are trying to be sold, they cant even come close to this Spur. The paint upon inspections seems to be original as well...NOT A RESPRAYED CAR! wow!! The Everflex Roof as well has no rust bubbles, under it, and is clean as well. The interior is all there the dashpad is unbroken, and has a cover as well to protect it from the sun. The leather seats are in excellent condition as well. The switches, knobs, buttons, are all in excellent working condition. The wood in all areas of the car is still in original condition and not splintered or broken as well. We don't think you'll find a more cleaner and well kept example. This Spur is a stunner. The car also has the high pile wool mats that came with the car when purchased new, as part of the Spurs charm. Upon inspection of the wool carpets, they are also in excellent condition no ware and tare or discoloration like some you see on ebay today. The rear tray tables also are in good condition and in working order. This spur also has the rear foot rest blocks, for that extra added comfort for your rear seat passengers. The cars shifts ans drives flawlessly, and is a confindent highway cruiser, even with the cruise control working.
As a local trade-in, against another Rolls Royce, we did get a deal on it and we are willing to pass it on. We weclome all inspections and encourage so. The air con. is cold and all the settings work. The rear seats look untouched and unused, but the leather is still supple and not hard to the touch. The Spur even though maintained does have a small oil leak, we are getting quotes now to see how much to be repaired, but typical of this kind of car ask any Rolls Dealer, at least thats what we hear. In an effort to be honest, we wanted to be sure and mention this.
