Audi wagons (referred to as Avants) are one of the few full size German wagons on the market today. With their legendary all wheel drive system called Quattro, they are the vehicles of choice for anyone looking for luxury when they head to the ski slopes. Plus, the Allroad really was the first German crossover vehicle. These Audis are just at home off-road as they are on the Autobahn. The 2.7L twin turbo engine is one of my favorites. The power and torque is so smooth that it’s hard to believe you are driving a full size wagon.
I’ve been fortunate to have several Audi Avants over the years and each time I fall in love with them all over again. However, when it comes to finding a clean and gently used one, it is very difficult. For every wagon built, there were over 20 sedans produced. Plus, the owners just love them and rarely let them go. The Allroads have a unique cult-like following. Plus, finding a clean example with the rare 6-speed manual is becoming very difficult.
The current owner is the perfect person to buy a used car from. He is a true automotive enthusiast who gives his “daily-drivers” the same attention as his Porsche. You can almost say that he covets all of his cars. He purchased the car in January of 2008 from the original owner with 73k miles on the odometer. The car has always been used as a freeway cruiser and has never been off road. Over the last 18 months, he has invested over $6,000 into maintenance. He performed the following:
New clutch, throwout bearing, and flywheel
Both front suspension airbags and compressor were replaced (common failure with Allroads)
Front A-arms replaced
New Bosch battery
Either an Audi dealer or Audi specialist independent shop did all service. We have all the recent records. No expense was spared and this car was taken care of properly.
Also, as an enthusiast, the owner did the following tasteful upgrades:
Audi RS6 style wheels (including new extra spare wheel)
Fully loaded software package from APR that has the stock/91 octane/ 93 octane/100 octane programs plus fault code erase and throttle body reset all controlled through the cruise control stalk.
Hotchkis sway bars front and rear.
Full custom, mandrel bent stainless exhaust capped with Magnaflow mufflers and tips.
Complete Formula One Pinnacle window film job along with 3M Crystalline heat reduction film on the windshield and sunroof. (Over $1,000)
We also have available an extra set of Crimson 18” wheels available for an additional fee (see pic)
The MSRP on this Avant was nearly $45,000. It came very nicely optioned with the following:
Preferred Luxury Package: Glass Sunroof and Full Leather Upholstery
Premium Package: Heated Multi-Function Steering Wheel, Xenon Lights, and Rear Parktronic System
Bose Premium Sound
Heated Front and Rear Seats
This Audi is in great condition with very few signs of wear. The exterior is in great condition. There are no noticeable dings or scratches. The interior is in equally as nice a shape with no tears, cracks, or strange smells. There is a slight amount of wear on the driver seat exit bolster. That is about it. The car honestly looks better than most of cars with half the mileage. It is clear that this Allroad was really well cared for. The tires are getting close to needing replacement. The front brakes have at least 50% life left. The rear pads are getting low, but we are including a new set of rear brake pads with the vehicle.
This Audi comes with the original window sticker, records/receipts, owner’s manual/books, and an extra key.
