Vehicle Detail

1972 Ford F100 4x4. 302 V8 engine. 3 speed automatic transmission. Working 4x4, with 4 Lo range. 1972 body on 1980 F150 frame. Odometer shows 116,000 miles. That is on the body. Frame miles are unknown.Remanufactured engine put in 4 years ago. Holley 2 barrel carb with manual choke put on with the engine. New ignition module with new engine. Less than 3000 miles on engine. Tires put on 2 years ago. Less than 1000 miles on tires. Tires are 32 x 11.5 x 15. Everything else is original/old. This truck looks nice, but it's 40 years old. I'm not trying to scare off potential buyers. I just want potential buyers to look at the year, look at the price, and be realistic. The heater works, lights work, 4 wheel drive works, 4 lo works. Windows work, doors work great, doors lock. This truck was never restored. It was fixed enough to be used as a work truck. Painted red 6 years ago. Not clearcoated. It was just enamel paint. Still looks good, but if you really want it to shine you need to handwax or polish it. Aluminum wheels are the same way. I pressure washed it to try to keep the limedust and salt off it, and that's all I did. Seeing in person is highly recommended. Pics always look better than real life. Pics never will show small imperfections. The frame is old and rusty. It's not falling apart. It's just old and rusty, ie 1980 pickup frame in Iowa. Worst parts of the body I tried to point out in pics. Tailgate is the worst. Right front fender next. Driver door has small rust showing. All parts can be found at LMC truck. I don't have a proper shop to work on it, or the time.Worst part of the drivetrain is due to age. Power steering has a small leak. Transmission has a very small leak. Transfer case has a very small leak. I've always just checked the levels and drove it. Starts, runs, and drives just fine. I've never taken it on a long trip though. I've been 40 miles out of town for a football game. Truck gets 10-14 mpg depending on how you drive it. Cruising highway at 55 mpg=14 mpg. Town driving/ stop and go = 10 mpg. That's why I'm selling it. I'm too tight to drive it with gas the way it is, that's why the engine and tires have so few miles on them. Absolutely no warranty expressed or implied. My cell # is 641-420-9501. Call or text with additional questions. I highly recommend seeing the truck in person, and driving it. That will tell you more than I ever could. Don't get excited and put a bid in if you don't have any money. It is alot of hassle when ebay thinks it was a successful auction and the winning bidder ends up not showing up, or paying, or saying that their kid was on their ebay account. Clear it with your wife, girlfriend, banker first please. On Oct-11-12 at 11:19:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Overall body is in good condition for its age. Cab corners are in good shape. Box is in very good shape. On Oct-11-12 at 13:41:37 PDT, seller added the following information: There is a crack in the windshield on the passenger side. Doesn't leak. Doesn't affect visibility. I will try to get a pic uploaded of it.
