Vehicle Detail

No Reserve Auction.....Please bid to Win!!!! Have decided to sell my '72 Karman Ghia. This car came out of a 15+ year storage last summer, and since then I have been doing work to it as needed to make a reliable daily driver. Most of this summer I have been commuting to work in it (a daily round trip of 60 miles). This car would easily drive anywhere the new owner wanted to go. PA title in my name, ready to transfer to the new owner. The odometer shows roughly 75,xxx miles, but I am not sure if this is original. According to the previous owner who owned the car since the late '70's, she was the second owner. I would be the third. Here's what I've done so far..... New tires (last week!), full rebuild of the brake system including hoses and lines where needed, rebuilt carb., pertronix drop in distributor, new Bosch blue coil, new plugs, wires, full valve adjust, new battery, new generator (ordered and will be installed before the end of the sale), Rims have been painted since these pictures were taken...I'll have a few more up in a day or two. I also have a set of "porta-white" wide white wall simulators that go with the car. They will be on in the next day or two, but can easily be taken off if you want to go back to the black-wall tire look. 4-speed manual car, NOT AUTOSTICK!!!!!!! Clutch feels great. Interior is very clean, with VERY nice original seats and carpet. The original stereo was replaced with a Blauplunkt AM/FM casette some time in the past. Nice 6x9's in each door. Dash pad is cracked at the speaker grill, but they are available for less than $150. The car was repainted some time in the early '90s, just before it went into storage. I would call it a nice "5-footer". Great condition as a driver, but it does have its share of little chips from normal driving. Original pans are solid. The only rust is a small bubble just behind the right rear wheel arch. The original heater boxes and intact and operational. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or would like to come drive it. If you need a week or two to arrange transportation that's fine, but I need to get the car fully paid for within 7 days of the auction end.....I am making a move on an MGB and need to get it paid for! I have a trailer, and am willing to discuss delivery within 150 miles of PA zip 18353 for some extra cash. Not really needed, though.....just come and drive it home! Not interested in trades, so please don't ask. If you have zero ebay score I will not accept your bid unless you contact me and we have a phone conversation. I am willing to discuss international sales, but plese contact me before you bid. I want a nice clean sale for my nice clean car! Good luck! Thanks, Dave
