Vehicle Detail

1957 Ford F100 Stepside 1957 Ford F100 Shortbed Flareside original options ie: 272 V8 Truck with 4 spd trans and Big Back window for starters... (over 100 large pics) This trucks been an Az truck for as long as we could track and we went back to the 60s. Spent most of its life just tooling around a ranch in a small town outside Tucson. I did sit for the most part of the last 10 yrs. Recently rebuilt the clutch slave cylinder, replaced a brake line, emptied the fuel tank, put in fresh gas and now its a running driving truck. Great truck to restore a variety of different ways from 100% original to show or even ratrod it, your choice. Motor , trans and brakes feel good too, but it easily needs a full tune up and tires to make it a daily driver. Maybe even flush the gas tank soon too. Pull the choke, hit the key and it fires up no problem. Idles high, but rebuild the carb and things should run smoother. Being an AZ truck and over 50 yrs old it still has some rust but nothing like youd find on a similar truck in the midwest or back east. Youll see in the pics below some rust in the common areas, but also check out the lack of rust in other normal areas you may expect to see it. Original keys come with the truck too and all the glass is good, with the wing windows in the doors starting to show some yellowing in spots. Why the last owner sprayed it in Red Primer is beyond me personally I was thinking about sanding it all off to get back to the old factory Red paint and let drive it like that until a plan was figured out exactly how you wanted to restore it. The truck really needs full restoration but at least the motor sounds and runs decent for its age. Front and back glass in good shape too. Hood latch missing so I had to wire it closed for now, hence the reason in the pics the hood doesnt look closed all the way. The BED & TAILGATE are both in surprisingly great shape for a truck this old. No signs of rust front to back and minimal dents if any inside or out of both areas. Remove that back bumper would be the first thing Id do Tune up the motor and see if you can get it to run smoother Put on some cool rims with some safe tires and you are on your way to having a really cool truck that you prob wont see a duplicate for months :) This could be an amazing project that in the end would be a real head turner. 57 F100s are a 1 yr only body style and you hardly ever see them at car shows and events. One of the best things about owning something unique and different like this, and its still American Steel should I dare say, Built Ford Tough :) Check out the pics below LOTS OF PICS, it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain. Check out All the pics and then look for more info AFTER the pics etc. There are over 100, make sure you use the schroll bar on the side to see them all. Of course this is how it COULD look with enough vision and money How often do you see one this nice anymore. Drop in a 32v Mark VIII / Cobra motor and you are on your way !! There you have it, probably The BEST represented F100 on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you liked the pics. Most of the rust is visible in the pics, the worst of it is in pass side lower area, and then some dr side cab corners and a few places, and under the hood back by the hinges there was some on both sides.
