Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1971 Honda CB350 motorcycle in near-original condition. I got this bike on eBay a little less than a year ago. I was more into vintage bikes then than I am now, and I'm looking to free up space in my garage, so this beauty has to go, unfortunately. It is a very comfortable and fun bike to ride, and belongs with someone who appreciates its antiquity. The bike is in good running condition and is currently insured and registered in CT (but not titled, no title needed on a bike this age). Shifting is very smooth, and the engine has good compression and power. I have done some light maintenance on this bike, most notably giving the carburetors a proper cleaning. I have also replaced the ignition switch and some of the wire connectors to the coil, as they had burn marks on the insulators. New points and condenser and timing adjustment. I also adjusted valve clearance and replaced some worn out o-rings on the rocker arm pins (how you set valve clearance on this bike) because a little oil was getting past. The tank had been coated (Kreem I think) by a previous owner, not a bad job. No sign of rust in the tank whatsoever. Brakes are drum front and back. I'd say the front brakes have a kind of "wooden" feel, maybe they just need the cable lubricated, but the brakes stop the bike just fine. Starts with kick or starter motor. Starter makes a little squeal sometimes, may need bearings lubed, not sure. Seat is perfect. Tank has a few scratches and blemishes (see photos) on the outside. All paint is original. Chrome is really good, hardly any pitting. Pipes are the original CB pipes. Side covers are just a wee bit faded, not sure if they would improve with polish. The tires seem okay, but should probably be replaced if you intend to do any serious riding. Take a look at the pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions. Bike is for pick up only, no shipping. I would like $200 PayPal deposit within 72 hours of auction end, and the balance in cash no later than one week out. Thanks for looking and best of luck!
