1971 VW Bug. Odometer works but total mileage unknown. Have been using the car as a local daily driver for one year. Other than oil changes and tune up, have not done any work to the car. The engine leaks a few drops of crankcase oil onto the ground after use but does not burn oil. The engine runs strong and the 4 speed manual shifts as it should. There are no unusual mechanical noises coming from the drive train. Steering is firm and the car tracks well with no shimmy but the steering damper has leaked oil onto the track control arm as can be seen in the picture. Brake system works well, lines sound, and system is dry. Floor pans are original and in good shape except for underneath the battery compartment where it is rusting through as seen in the picture. Heater ducting and controls are working and intact but the defrost ducting is not intact. Wiper motor and arms operational. Lighting and gauges are all operational. Can’t open passenger side door from inside due to internal issue with inner door handle mechanism. Car was repainted at some point and has a lot of blemishes. This car can be used as is and would be a solid candidate for restoration. Bids from individuals with no positive feedback history will be deleted.
