Thanks for looking. Up for sale is my 1986 Honda CMX Rebel 450. The bike is in good condition for its age, and runs extremely well. Last winter I removed and meticulously cleaned the carburetor, all the jets and carefully adjusted them before re-installation. Also while this was completed, I replaced the fuel filter, cleaned out all of the fuel lines, and removed and cleaned the petcock (On/Off/Reserve Switch that often gets gunked up). The gas tank was lined before I purchased the bike, and looks very clean inside. There is 1 small ding on the tank, but the paint is not chipped or damaged and the ding is hardly noticeable. Also performed at the beginning of the season was a complete tune up. Including new spark plugs, new air and oil filter, and fresh Mobil 1 motor oil. The bike has all new bulbs for signals and lights, however there seems to be a short in the wiring for the rear turn signals so they do not currently work, and this short has drained the battery to the point where it will not hold a charge. With a fresh battery or a jump the bike starts right up with the electric start. The bike starts pretty easily by pop starting it if you get stuck. Clutch cable, throttle cable, and rear brake have all been lubricated and adjusted, and work very well. The bike also received new brake pads, and a master cylinder as well as a caliper rebuild kit, and fresh brake fluid. The brakes are firm and work very well. The bike will need a new chain and sprocket setup, as the current one is pretty much stretched out. I have a brand new chain and sprocket kit (front and rear) that I will include with the sale. The bike has a clear title, and needs to be sold asap as I am in the process of moving. I can help with transportation, however the bike is not currently registered or insured so it will need to be trailered. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. This is a smaller bike that is great for a new rider, or a rider who is smaller in size. It has a low standover height so it is very easy to handle, but it has excellent pickup and a powerful and quiet engine. I have a pdf version of the repair manual that I would be happy to print and include with the sale. The bike also has the original owners manual, and the original tool kit that came with the bike. This bike is somewhat rare, and often gets chopped or cafe'd out. So this is an even rarer example of a completely stock version. Also included is the cover that has been used all season, it was previously garaged. Regards,Al
