Vehicle Detail
1966 Ford Mustang Coupe Inline 6 I bought this car about a year ago and started working on it where previous owner had left off. The previous owner had put a rebuilt engine in the car and had started to disassemble it for restoration. It is a straight non-wrecked car. I have clean title with papers to transfer to new owner, and registration sticker/plates. Since I purchased it I have installed: a clean Ford original gas tank, cleaned out original steel fuel lines, new fuel sending unit with brass float, new fuel filler neck/rubber hose/gasket seal, new steel braided gas lines, new fuel filter, rebuilt Holley 1 barrel carb, new spark plugs, new battery & cables, new spark plug wires, new distributor cap/rotor/points/condenser, new oil filter/oil change, new windshield wipers, rebuilt Ford radiator, new radiator hoses, new water pump, new water neck, new brakes that include: 4 new drums, all 4 pads and shoes, all 4 brake hardware kit, all 4 wheel cylinders, front brake hoses, new dual bowl master cylinder, and ignition lock with keys. Gauges work and have been installed since the pictures, also the windshield wipers work, and lights work. I have many new and used parts to go with the car, and all parts that came with the car making it complete, nothing is missing. Car was originally equipped with power steering from factory, but previous owner lost brackets and pump when rebuilt engine was installed, so I put a manuel steering box and manuel steering linkage in that is tight and solid. Car will need: inspection sticker, rear pans, rear bumper installed(I have it), transmission pan gasket installed(I have a new one), new exhaust system installed(I have a new exhaust system with muffler, clamps and collector will bolt right on), front and rear seats recovered, carpet, headliner and door panels, dash pad, and probably 1 new tire. Car runs and drives, transmission shifts solid through all 3 gears and reverse. *Durring tune up of engine my mechanic noticed that cylinder #6 was not firing due to a stuck valve, so it runs on 5 cylinders and can be used like that for as long as you want, but to fix problem it would need a valve job for approx $200 or install another working head. My mechanic has additional heads that can be purchased from him or he could do work to fix existing head, your choice.* Car was repainted Gray but original color is Tahoe Turquoise w/ aqua interior. Door tag reads: 65A U 27 07J 32 2 6, Which means: Coupe/Standard Interior, Tahoe Turquoise, Aqua w/Aqua Trim, Sept.7th, Cleveland, 2.83:1, C4 Auto. Sorry pictures are bad, some parts have been installed/replaced since pictures were taken such as: grill trim and horse and coral emblem, etc. This car is a good project that is almost there, and would be a good fuel efficient classic car for enjoyment that wont break your budget. I have more in it than the reserve price. Buyer is responsible for pick up and delivery, I can help load on trailer, car can be driven, but with no inspection sticker you might get a ticket. Thank you, and if you have any questions please call between 9am and 8pm Mon thru Sun. 512-663-one2one8
