The ultimate 70s BLING combination….two tone paint AND factory T-tops! A perfect Boulevard cruiser! Proudly motor to any cruise-in and the guys standing by the sea of Mustangs and Chevelles will applaud you. Thumbs up at every intersection, and conversations at every gas pump….if you are looking to be incognito this is not the car for you! This beautiful 1979 Cordoba was sold new by DeNio Chrysler-Plymouth in Roswell, New Mexico on January 15, 1979 to Shawn DeNio. Yes, Shawn DeNio, the son of the dealerships owner. One year later it was purchased off the dealers used car lot by the current owner of 32+ years. The car resided in dry New Mexico until the current owner moved to mild Western WA in 1989. The mild temperatures and zero exposure to road salt have been very kind to this car. The car is finished in two tone Light Cashmere over Sable Tan Sunfire Metallic with Cashmere leather interior. This the identical car that was the feature Cordoba in the 1979 sales brochure. Stacks and stacks of service receipts (2 file folders), registrations, as well as the original owner’s manual are included with the car. Additionally, the original Chrysler Corporation “Advanced Dealer Shipping Notice” is present and lists the following optional equipment on this vehicle: Buckets Seats with Center ArmrestLight PackageTwo Tone Paint*Color Keyed SeatbeltsConsoleTrunk Dress UpOptional 360 V8 – 2 bblTinted Glass – all windowsDual Sport Remote Control Mirrors Air ConditioningPedal Dress upTape Stripe – 2 tone AccentDoor Edge ProtectorsT BAR ROOF!Auto Speed ControlTilt Steering WheelSteering Wheel – 2 spoke leather coveredLandau Vinyl RoofSpare Tire – Conventional Wire Wheels CoversWhite Sidewall TiresAM/FM 8-track Stereo with four Speakers The base price in '79 was $6,000, but this car had over $3800 in options! This car is a rare survivor. The combination of the two tone paint and T-tops really makes this car exceptional compared to other Cordobas of this vintage. It cuts a dramatic line as it moves down the road. The car is in very good original condition. It is unrestored. The paint and original two tone accent stripes show very well, nice and glossy. There are some chips and road nicks here and there as to be expected on a car this age. The body appears to be rust free with the exception of one small spot just behind the passenger rear wheel (photo shown). The original vinyl roof is in amazing condition. The chrome is beautiful with the exception of some scratches to the rear bumper. The “Corinthian Leather” front seats are cracked, but covered by really nice genuine sheepskin covers. There are a couple of cracks on the dash cover. The headliner and door panels are excellent. The carpet is as new. A bunch of NOS/original parts are in the trunk: including new right front wheel well molding, tail lamp lens/assembly, new opera lamp lenses, original radio, dash cluster bezel, etc, etc. The original T-Top storage bag is there as well as a car cover and repair manuals. The car runs and drives excellent. The TorqueFlite transmission shifts smoothly in all gears and the 360 V8 is strong. The car fires right up even after sitting for days at a time. The odometer shows approx 10,300 miles; the car has 210k honest miles (not eBay miles), with the receipts to show exemplary care by its retired airplane mechanic owner. The AC blows hot right now, but the underhood system is working and the lines get icy cold….I believe there is a vacuum hose somewhere that needs to be reconnected. The Michelin tires are very good and have more than 60% tread left. The beautiful Chrysler wire wheel covers are excellent with no curb rash and the original removal tool is in the trunk. The car has a modern CD player and upgraded speakers, plus a larger amp/bass in trunk. I have included lots of large photos for your review. You can click on any of the photos and save them to your own computer which will allow you to view them even larger for details. Thanks and Happy Bidding! The car is nearly 34 years old, so obviously it is sold as is, with no warranty expressed or implied. I have tried to describe the car in the best detail possible, but I may have missed something important to you. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have BEFORE bidding. A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance is due within 7 days of the end of the auction. Wire transfer for the balance is preferred. Cashiers or personal check is okay, but verification of clearance will delay the release of the car. I am happy to work with your shipper once the car is paid for and I can provide indoor storage for the car up to 30 days after the end of the auction. I reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early for local sale. I am happy to work with International buyers. Please keep in mind car will need to be paid in full and clearance of payment will need to be verified prior to the car being released for transport. I have had the same eBay id for OVER FOURTEEN YEARS; my feedback speaks for itself. Additionally you will note the check symbol next to my id. My identity information has been checked and verified through eBay’s third party screening system. I have sold a number of cars over the years and every buyer has been very happy with their purchase. You can buy with confidence. On Oct-01-12 at 09:14:11 PDT, seller added the following information:I have been asked about the front seats. The Driver's side leather is cracked and split (discoloration is from duct tape). The passenger side is not bad, just needs a deep cleaning. The genuine sheepskin seats covers fit well, are in excellent condition, and trim out the interior nicely. They are even a bit "period" in keeping with the 70s-80s style!
