Vehicle Detail
Hi, I'm selling my Baby. Before I bought this car I hadn't given much thought to Mazda Miatas but when I test drove it I fell in love. It runs great with very peppy 115 HP from a very tight little motor. It's a fuel injected 1600 CC all aluminum, Double Overhead Cam, with spark-plugs between the camshafts, fuel efficient great little motor that really performs well. It'll surprise you. The gearbox is a solid 5-speed that feels like it's new, shifts without any problems. There is normal wear that you'd expect on a vehicle with the age and miles that are on it but no real bummers. The shroud, on the dash, that covers the instruments is made of what looks to me to be plastic / fiber-glass combination of some sort. Anyway, it's broken and in the trunk. I've glued it back together a couple of times but it probably needs to have a new one. It can't be but a few bucks. I haven't even looked for one. The interior is in pretty good shape overall. It looks like the original cloth and carpeting and vinyl with no real damage, just a little faded and threadbare in a few spots. My son bought me some cheap seat covers for my birthday and they are still on the car but they're not covering any damage to speak of. The top was apparently replaced shortly before I bought the car and I've had no problems with it. I replaced all 4 tires about 2,000 miles and 3 months back. They're slightly high performance and helps the car to handle incredibly. It has an exhaust tip that gives it a little rat-tat-tat, but not too loud, just right for me. (I'm 62 years old, what can I say?) There's no rust to speak of and there was an apparent re-paint before I bought it. It's not a great pain job with a couple of runs but, all in all, it's very presentable when it's washed and waxed.....as you can see in the pics. The stereo is very nice. I bought and installed it right after I bought the car. It's a nice Sony with AUX and USB inputs, Pandora, and the standard AM and FM Radio, and a great CD Player. The speakers are Top of the Line Polk Audio and sound great even when cranked with the top down. (I like my music loud) If I'm not mistaken, the Miata was Car of the Year in 1990. It was the first year of their release and they were a hit. I read a report where the Miata had the highest customer satisfaction of any other car then, better than any of the Hondas, Mercedes, Toyotas, Porsche, Jag,.....any of them. And I believe it. This is a really cool car. I've been averaging around 32 miles per gallon and I go everywhere, almost, with the top down. The only reason that I'm selling it is that I have two other cars and a motor-home.....and I want a motorcycle. Everything works on this car. The A/C, all the lights come on and they open and close properly. I've run nothing but synthetic oil in it and I've maintained it meticulously. Check out my Feedback and bid confidently. You'll love this car.
