Vehicle Detail

2004 Audi A4 Avant Sport Package 1.8tMileage: 80,450 I've got a 2004 Audi A4 that I've owned for 4 happy years now. I spent 6 months finding this car - an elusive 6-Speed Wagon with the sport package and quattro (all-wheel drive) in great shape. She's still in great shape, and I've made improvements as well as regular maintenance. I'm the third owner. It came from CT, then the woman I bought it from had it, then me. Never been smoked in. Clean title, leather interior, traction control, Antilock Brakes, Airbags, winter package (seat warmers and heated rear-view mirrors!), and power everything and cruise control. Done to Car:I lightly tuned this car to give it a little more oomph without sacrificing reliability or making it harsher: I upgraded the injectors, diverter valve, and silicon induction tube. The ECU was flashed with an APR program (Stage 1+) that includes stock, valet, a 93 octane program, and a 100 octane program along with a security feature, throttle body alignment, and code clearing. I have never even used the 100 octane program, and with the child seats in my car, I enjoy the extra power, but have never abused it. Exterior:No rust, paint is in very good shape. The underbody cover under the engine is intact (most of them get lost on speed bumps). Windshield is in average shape. The previous owner got hit by a bicycle messenger near the rear left taillight and that damage was fixed. The biggest negative of this car is the scrape on the back left when a car turned into the rear at slow speed. They didn't see me, and it's made a line and a crease in the door where the paint has cracked. It isn't rusted, but it would be smart to address this somehow. The price has been lowered to reflect this. The trunk release actuator works half the time - the short-term solution is to just use the key to open it. The long-term solution is to get a new actuator for it. Engine:Really strong and smooth. I've had regular oil changes with Audi filters and OEM (castrol Syntec) oil. The coil packs have been replaced under warranty. Wheels/Suspension:Wheels are in pretty good shape. Tires have 42% of tread left. It currently has summer tires (Sumitomo HTR ZIIIs) and I have a nice winter set of rims/tires (Genuine Audi rims and General/Gislaved (owned by Continental) snow tires that are less than two years old if you're interested for a reasonable price. Brakes have been recently done and front and rear brakes have plenty of pad left on them. Shocks are in good shape, and the car handles beautifully. If you haven't tried out the sport package, it's well worth the hunt - it transforms this car from something that leans and dives just a little too much to a real joy to cruise in. Transmission:Shifts smoothly. Recently replaced the clutch and replaced the flywheel (with a non-rubber-centered version). Interior:Power driver seat and full power sunroof. Displays are perfect, all buttons and functions work, and you can play your most ipod/iphones through the stock stereo . The driver armrest has a broken latch but it works fine. Rear ashtray door is broken. I have a special hidden power lead from the fuse box up to near the rearview mirror that can power an Escort or Valentine V1 radar detector. If you need a radar detector, you can have my escort 8500 for a fair price. It's got the deep Audi rubber winter mats and a liner for the trunk area, plus a retractable cover and pull up screen for the rear. Services:I have all the records for this car, including the previous owner's Audi dealership records. I also have sent in oil samples to a lab for analysis which have come back good. This car has been good to me, and I've been good to it. Notable replacements: Rear O2 sensor, driver window switches, battery, driver window regulator, fuel pump and filter. Happy to show the car to anyone, and I can bring it to any mechanic that's within a reasonable distance to get checked out (you cover their fee). I have too many cars and need to simplify a bit.
