Vehicle Detail

I have a true 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible. The body is in good shape with minimal rust. The car needs to be restored. It has a 1985 302 from a GT Mustang. The car was special ordered with a 4 speed Toploader and the correct transmission is with the car (it took about 2 years to find the rare casting, I paid $1100 for it in '06). The car was shipped to a Charlotte, NC dealership in 1964. The original chrome trim and glass is in good condition. There are two grills. One is in near perfect original condition, one was on the car when I got it. I got newly chromed original bumpers from Elizabethton, TN several years ago, they are original bumpers that look brand new ($600.00). New Griffin radiator in the box. New emblems, hood ornament, et cetera. Aluminum bell housing that mates the '64 toploader to the '85 302. VERY RARE small factory Ford tachometer on the dash, I have been offered insane amounts for this little tach, but it came with the car so it stays with the car. The rear "Sprint" trunk panel is present but has a few dings, very repairable. The 302 ran when the car was parked about 8 years ago. The convertible top switch and pumps worked great when the car was parked. The interior needs to be re-upholstered. Perfect original hood and trunk lid, doors are perfect and shut smooth and tight. Clear title in hand, no keys though...I lost them a few years back. The car has spent the last 20 years under a large open pole shed, and covered with a tarp. The tires may hold air long enough to winch it on the trailer. The driver side front fender needs very minor body work. The rear floor pans need to be replaced. The rear passenger quarter has damage just behind the tire and needs the lower rear patch panel replaced to correct the problem. I truly hate to sell it, I have been buying pieces for this rare car for years and need the money now for a new home we are planning to build. Ford made about 2,600 Falcon Sprint Convertibles in 1964. To give some perspective, Ford made about 12,000 T birds the same year.
