1959 MGA 1500 TWIN CAM PROJECT CAR Sold with "Bill of Sale"only. I have owned this MGA Twin Cam since the 1980's. Now 30 years later, it's time acknowledge that I will never restore this into a vintage race car myself or even obtain my racing license, but for the last 30 years it sure has been a great dream!... NOW HERE'S YOUR CHANCE ... to own a rare original MGA Twin Cam!! MGA Twin Cam YD3/2153 may seem to be a challenging candidate for a concours restoration project, however I have seen far worse ordinary pushrod MGA's resurrected and brought back from the edge. The secret advantage of MGA Twin Cam restoration is the fact that most of the car is standard MGA which has excellent parts availability. This car has most of the hard to find "twin cam" parts...... radiator, header tank, brake master cylinder, tachometer, 4 wheel Dunlop disc brakes and perhaps most importantly a complete set of 5 of the impossible to source original Dunlop knock-on steel wheels. I bought this MGA Twin Cam disassembled, without engine and transmission, just about as you see it. According to factory records this MGA Twin Cam (YD3 /2153) left the factory with a close ratio gearbox, 4.55 rear, oil cooler, competition windscreen, and competition deluxe seats. Except for the intact 4.55 final drive, I purchased this car without any of these parts. I have since purchased a correct standard ratio MGA twin cam gearbox (included), but I never acquired an engine or interior for it. THE ENGINE, STEERING COLUMN, STEERING WHEEL, TOP BOWS, AND COMPLETE INTERIOR ARE MISSING. I can't tell exactly what other small parts may be missing but if you don't see it in the pictures in the pictures just assume its is not there. If you have specific questions on parts ask and I will give you a reply within 24 hours. Please Note:This car is being sold with a bill of sale only. There is NO TITLE OR REGISTRATION for this car. Without a title, overseas shipping may be next to impossible and I will not store the car while you investigate the procedure of obtaining a title for it. Unless you have the means to store, obtain title, and ship this vehicle, please don't bid. I cannot help "get papers" for the car.I will however accept overseas bids because several people have insisted that they are able to successfully export a "bill of sale" car. The car must be removed within 30 days from auction close. I will crate the loose parts in the body if needed. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I will assist in any way I can.
