Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE ONE OWNER 1972 CHEVROLET PICKUP 4X4 This is a 1972 Chevy pickup that has been kept out at the company lodge since new, it has the original 350 engine and 4 speed transmission that have never been rebuilt or had any major work done to them. I drove this truck around town a little and it runs pretty good, the 4 speed shifts good through all the gears and the 350 didn’t miss a lick. The 4X4 seems to work good, I locked in the hubs put it in four wheel drive and took off, did not hear any noise when I turned real sharp, just put it in gear, let out the clutch and I was gone. I put a new Napa battery costing $125.00 before listing the truck. All the glass is original but the windshield is cracked and needs replaced. I am not selling this truck outright, the highest bidder at the end of the auction wins. All the rust that I could find I showed in the pictures, the driver’s side floor is the worst. The wood bed does not look to bad underneath, there is a piece of plywood on top that has been there for years, I did not remove the plywood but looking up under the truck the wood looks pretty good. If you need any other information or pictures then please give me a call, 970.379.6104 or ask through eBay. I reserve the right to end this auction early If you have 0 feedbacks please contact me before bidding or the bid will be cancelled. The buyer must contact me within 48 hours of auction end. The truck must be paid for in full within 7 days of auction end. Thank you and good luck On Sep-26-12 at 15:21:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I adjusted out the four barrel carburetor today and the engine sounds great. I also adjusted the headlights and made sure that all the outside lights work, head, tail, turn and stop, this way if you need to drive it home you can. On Sep-26-12 at 17:13:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Well after I adjusted the points, carburetor and timing today the truck ran pretty good. I drove it some more after revising the listing and when I got back to the house I noticed that there was no oil pressure at an idle. I revved the engine up a little and the oil pressure picked right up but when it came down to an idle I noticed the oil pressure goes back to 0 and there is a deep nock in the bottom of the engine for a coupe seconds. I am not sure what the nock is but I would say a main bearing. I also noticed that it started leaking oil from the rear main seal pretty bad, it left a foot round puddle after running just a few minutes. If anyone that has bid on this truck wants to cancel their bid please let me know and I will retract it for you. Sorry for the mistake on listing this old truck, but I am glad I found it before anyone purchased it. Thanks again Jim On Sep-27-12 at 11:57:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I cannot guarantee that the miles are accurate, the odometer says 25,348 but it might have turned over and maybe 125,348.On Sep-29-12 at 07:57:27 PDT, seller added the following information: We could not find the original title so I went to the DMV to get a duplicate. Since this is so old the title had been purged and we have to apply for a purged title. This will take about two weeks, the good news is the DMV will give the new owner a temporary tag until the title comes in.
