1958 CHEVROLET APACHE SHORT BED What we have for auction is a 1958 Chevy short bed pickup. This truck was previously owned for 30 years by Father and Son who would pass it back and forth to one another. I was told it was from Texas, I don't know how long ago? It has been painted 3 years or so from what the previous owner said. It is not a Barrett-Jackson truck! but a good little driver. Since I've owned it, I have put tires and hubcaps, shocks on the front, new wheel cylinders and brake hose's. A new water pump,carb, complete tune-up along with a new Aluminum radiator. Hose's, fan belt, choke and throttle cables. New windshield and rubber gasket, door weatherstrip, and door glass channel runs. The engine and engine compartment detailed, and the undercarriage. The paint has a good shine with no runs, but there are a few small chips. The body is solid, no rust over the headlights as usual, it has had some repair in the step area of the cab and I believe some repair in one cab corner. The bed has what looks like original wood that has been covered with diamond plate steel. I have put a bed mat in it since purchased. The body man didn't get out all the dings but still a real sharp attention getting truck. It is a real good driver or cruiser to enjoy anytime you want to take it out. It runs and drives good and never heats up. The heater has had new cables and fan switch installed alone with the core being checked. It starts every time and purrs like a kitten. Evidently when it was painted there were 59 fenders installed, because of the fender spears are 59. It has always been a black truck, evident when windshield was replaced. The truck draws attention whenever it is out of the garage, always gets thumbs up when driving. You can letter the truck to look nostalgic or whatever you please, heck you could sand it dull and make it look Rat Rod style. There are no leaks under the truck that I see in the garage. It is not a high dollar restored trailer queen, it is a very good looking, running, driving truck. There are no warrantied implied or given, it is a 54 year old truck. You come and look or send someone to check it out, whatever you want to please yourself. It can be cancelled at anytime because the truck is for sale locally also. $1,000.00 Deposit to made by Bank transfer in 3 days from sale ending. Balance to be paid by Bank transfer or cash on pick up. If check is to be used it will have to clear before the vehicle will be released. The truck will not be leaving my drive until all funds have cleared, this could be 10 to 14 business days. The deposit is non-refundable !!!!!!!!!!
