Vehicle Detail

This is a NO RESERVE auction! Come and get this baby!! I bought this little bird about five years ago in the condition you see it in here. I had hoped to restore it but I have too many projects, no money, and no time. This one has to go. The car is pretty much complete. I know it is missing the rear bumper and some stainless that goes around the front grille. The headlight trim (right side) is in the trunk. The engine turns freely but will probably need to be rebuilt; however, most of these cars didn't see many miles so it might be fine but I don't know. I tinkered with it for about an hour Friday with no luck and figured whoever bought it would probably want to rebuild it anyway. Here is the story behing the car. I bought this car from a widow in Virginia (have clear Virginia title on hand). Her husband had driven it for a few years and had it painted the hunter green it is in now. This is originally a black exterior and red interior bird....the prettiest one's in my opinion. This car was parked in the 80's in a climate controlled garage until I bought it. I have kept it in my shop but need it gone. The body is in pretty decent shape for one of these cars. The inner and outer rockers need to be replaced and both rear wheel areas need new metal as well. The passenger's side floor looks to be solid. The drivers side is not...it is going to need new metal. This car has a great front end with minimal rust. Most of the birds I've seen have serious rot behind the battery box and around the blower on the other side. The battery side inner fender and firewall are flawless as is the firewall. The passenger side has about three inches of rot where the vent hole comes through the inner fender. Other than that small area, there is zero rot. There are a few great things about these cars: parts are available for reasonable prices from at least a dozen online vendors, they are super easy to restore, and when it's done it will sell for 35,000 if it is in decent shape. You will not lose money on this car if you know what you're doing. Even if you went crazy and spent another 10,000 on this car you would still be in the money. This was my plan but I simply have too much going on ... so my loss is DEFINITELY your gain with this one. I reserve the right to end this auction early as it is for sale locally. $500 nonrefundable deposit required at time of bid. Remainder can be paid at time of pick up with cash. I do not prefer paypal; however, I can accept credit card payments. _gsrx_vers_476 (GS 6.4.4 (476))
