Vehicle Detail
This vehicle is sold AS-IS. You are bidding on a 2001 Mercedes Benz located in Finksburg Maryland. I have owned the car since 2009 and hold the clean title. I have not had the car inspected as there may be people from other states that buy the car. Also, I do not have the time to have the car inspected and fix what might be needed to pass: Which is the driver seatbelt. It works but needs to be tightend manually. This car is in good condition, mechanically sound and still turns heads. The paint is very clean and shinny still- a testiment for how well it was treated. I have owned the car for 3 years and it was garaged for the 1st two years until I moved. Below is a list of the "good", the "bad" and the "ugly": The good: Very good looking car in good condition- very clean. Drives excellent and the engine is very strong and the transmition shifts smoothly. The oil has been changed regularly- Mobile One. The interior is very clean for its age. I just replaced all 4 tires- and they are on sport wheels that are in good condition. Heads still turn! This is a timeless bodystyle (IMO) and will always look good. The Bad: I am the 4th owner. The history report has 3 accidents but I'm not aware of anything major that damaged the frame. (again, remember the age thing). The driver side seatbelt will not tighten by itself- you need to manually tighten it at times- wasn't really a problem for me but it will need to be fixed for inspection. I had a fender bender a couple years ago (front) and repaired the bumper and replaced the hood and front lamp. The ugly: Not much but there are a few chips off the paint on the front bumper from my fender bender- see photos. *Please keep in mind this is an 11 year old car and will show signs of expected wear. The starting price is low at 3,500 and there is no reserve. There is no need for me to keep this car and I don't have time to hagle with people. I just want it sold and I like the thrill of an auction, I must admit. Good luck bidding.
