This is my 1973 Mercedes 280sel nice car, ton's of records. New transmission just overhauled, new shocks, plugs, wires, distributor, points, belts, valve adjustment, air filter, all cooling hoses, sunroof gaskets, antenna, timing chain rails, timing chain tensioners, brake master cylinder, front brake pads, rear brake pads, Full 100k service just performed. I am a European repair shop owner and this is my personal car. All lights work interior and exterior, AC has been converted and blows cold. Vehicle has new auxilarty fan. Radiator was just removed and roded out and, thermostat is new. All fluids were changed when I performed major service. Tires were put on less than 1 year ago. Vehicle has aftermarket CD player and new factory sized speakers (no bump bump). I would drive this car to California tomorrow and never worry. This is a nice car and a daily driver. The problems I am aware of are- Horn does not work, sunroof works but I unhooked the switch because I hate sunroofs in my old cars. Minor rust in left rear trunk well and rigt corner of trunk storage below tailight on the inside of the vehcile.Odometer and tripometer do not work. Blinker switch functions but you must turn it off manually. Vehicle has minor scratches and wear due to its 40year old paint that is laquear. Vehicles previous service records are extensive at some point new calibers were put on brakes as well as hoses. Winshield washer fluid reservoir is new and squirters work.
