Vehicle Detail

Beautiful 1986 Jeep CJ7 Laredo for sale. 65,906 original and CarFax documented miles! Almost entirely original and completely unmolestested. Includes two interiors, three tops, and three different sets of doors. Tons of pictures in my photobucket album: http://s1175.photobucket.com/albums/r630/jeepers86/1986%20Jeep%20CJ7%20FOR%20SALE/ Video of engine running can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hswW16J1E14&feature=youtube_gdata_player Casual restoration is about 95% complete. Can be finished in one weekend, I've just lost interest. Needs a few more little things like driver side decal installed (included in sale), center console screwed in, and a screw here and there. This Jeep comes with three tops and three sets of doors. The original hard top and full steel hard doors are in great condition. The hatch on the top is solid and keyed to match. Dome light works. Top has been hanging in my garage for 8 years. Full doors were painted at the same time as the body and have new stainless paddle handles (drivers side door needs interior panel reinstalled). Also included is a Besttop soft top with two piece soft doors. And this sale also includes matching 1/2 metal doors with charcoal soft uppers from a YJ and a strapless bikini top. Half doors have generic lock cylinders installed but are not keyed. The body is rust free and had one complete frame-on repaint about four years ago. Small rust spots at the time in driver floor pan and right rear quarter panel were cut and replaced with metal before painting. Jeep has been stored indoors and under cover since and the body is rust free. Floorboards and roll bar mounts are clean. Frame is rock solid with just the minor surface rust you see. Jeep has been garaged for the last 8 years and has not seen a drop of rain or speck of road salt during this time. I drive it ~200 miles a year, only on nice days and usually just to get ice cream. Dash has original clock and tach. Both work well, although the tach sometimes sticks and needs a gentle tap. Original AMC push button radio works great. Tilt steering and Marchal Fogs with OE wiring harness and switch. I am the second bona fide owner (owner #2 bought and titled it only to immediately resell) and looked long and hard for this Jeep. I purchased it 8 years ago and it had been sitting for 7 years when I found it, thus the extremely low mileage. Currently registered and titled as an Antique in Pennsylvania. Had current safety inspection up until last year when I applied and was granted Antique status. Insurance runs me $75/year. :) When I bought this, I desperately wanted a Laredo but wasn't able to find one in the Northeast that wasn't rusted to pieces so I jumped when I found a rust-free Renegade and over time I added the elements to make it a Laredo. All of the original Renegade interior items are included and I am also including a COMPLETE LAREDO INTERIOR (two front seats, fold and tumble rear seat, leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped grab bar). The Laredo rear seat is installed and picture but I have a mint Renegade seat to include as well. The Jeep already had the clock and tachometer that were included with the Laredo package. Drivetrain is completely original with Carfax documented mileage. T5 transmission shifts smoothly and the transfer case works well. Engine does have an occasional valve tick when it warms up. Has been this way since I purchased it and it goes away with a quick rev, but in the interest of full disclosure its worthy of mention. The engine runs strong and has the original Carter carb installed, but it often stalls at idle and needs the venturis cleaned. It's a simple fix but one that I never got around to. Instructions here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Fix-idle-and-stalling-problems-on-a-jeep-cj-7-or-w/. Start quickly every time. Newer Duralast battery installed and kept on a maintainer. I included a link at the top to my Photobucket album. I believe that pictures tell a much better story than I could ever write. Please review carefully and enjoy. Feel free to email any and all questions prior to close of auction to 1986laredo@gmail.com. Terms are cash or certified funds only. Prefer local sale. Thanks for looking!
