Vehicle Detail

First lets start with the mileage. I did not know how to list this because the truck has more miles but the motor does not. No it is not one of those "I rebuilt it trust me" situations. I purchased a crate motor from O'Reilly auto parts in August of 2011, I have documented proof of this and we can pull up the file from O'Reilly which shows I gave the core from this truck and received a brand new short block from them for $1,863.00. I will show some pictures of the new motor before going in the truck to demonstrate this, but like I said I can pull up the appropriate documentation as well. So the truck itself has 173,266 miles, but the motor has 16,256 miles. I will list the other new items below as well. I bought this truck in April of 2010 to use to haul some items from St George Utah to San Diego California for a business my father was running. After hauling I decided to keep the truck for a bit for fixing some things around the house. Back in August or so of 2011 the motor started knocking so after realizing how nice the truck was every where else I decided to replace the entire motor. I kept it until this point to use for more "around the house" type things, but lately the only thing the truck gets used for is when others want to borrow it to help them move or similar. I have not driven it for quite some time. So I figure I would rather someone else purchase it then have me keep up the insurance for other to borrow it. The good: The motor is a crate motor from O'Reilly auto parts with only 16,256 miles so it should last for well over another 100k. The tires are still in good shape, they are not in great shape but should get another 15,000+ miles. One of the three tires shows a little wear on one side more then elsewhere, this was from an alignment problem that has since been fixed. The tire can be swapped with the full size spare and do fine with the others for the aforementioned. When the motor was replaced everything underneath was inspected and replaced as needed. Motor mounts were replaced, brakes were cleaned and inspected and found to be in good working order (though this was 16k miles ago). The rear shocks were replaced with air shocks to allow for attaching a trailer if needed, however I have not needed to do this at this point. The battery is relatively new, the alternator was replaced and the starter was replaced. The Bad: The stereo does not come with the truck though all the speakers etc will be included. Also the transfer tank and pump in the bed does not come with the truck, this was added recently and will still be used by me as storage in my garage. The tool box does come with the truck. Those two items (transfer tank and stereo) are the only items that are not included. The cold and hot switch works fine (turns fine) but the plastic button portion is cracked so does not turn it. Currently if you want to change from cool to hot you need to use pliers. I think you can buy a new knob for a dollar or two. The only thing that was not replaced when the engine was replaced was the clutch, I was told that it was not that old and it did not look very worn. At this point the truck runs great, and drives fine, but every so often it gives the tell tale sign that a clutch may be upcoming in the next 5-25k miles. I can not say for sure because all that has happened is it was a little hard to shift once or twice, but it is not constant, nor is it often so I do not know for sure. Finally the seats are covered due to one tear on the drivers side. I have a picture of it, other then that I do not believe there to be any other tears. The overall situation is this is an excellent running truck that has plenty of life left in it. I currently do not need it and would rather have the space otherwise I would simply keep it. It will do nicely for whoever buys it for several years to come. I have tried to describe it to the best of my ability and if there is anything else I can think of I will add it. Remember this is still an 18 year old truck so things may come up. Based on everything that has been done, and how well it has done I expect it to give little or no problems for a long long time, but like any other used vehicle I can not guarantee this. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Once you bid it is a contract and if you are the winner you are expected to complete the transaction. If you have a 0 feedback or less then 90% feedback please contact me prior to bidding. I have had offers already but no one has brought the cash yet. If someone buys the vehicle I reserve the right to pull the truck from this auction. However if the reserve is met I will not pull it. My Mistake, the new engine was actually a long block to the head was also brand new. The only items items not on the new engine were valve cover, oil pan, fuel intake, accessory items, and any other misc items not on a typical long block.
