Vehicle Detail

1976 MG Midget Brooklands Green Original Factory Paint Partially Restored - No Rust or Body Damage You are bidding on my 1976 MG Midget that is partially restored. I purchased it in hopes of fully restoring it but unfortunately I am moving out of state and its going to be too much of a pain to ship to my new location. The car overall is in really good condition and runs perfect, has been extremely reliable the entire time I have had it. Color is Brooklands Green and it has 57,000 actual miles on the car. It has a completely new interior consisting of new leather seats and all new carpeting. Has a brand new high output headunit with CD player thats run to a 1000 Watt amp powering two 500 Watt aftermarket speakers mounted in boxes behind the seats. Incredible sounding sound system for one of these little cars. Car has 4 new Minilite rims with new tires, also 5 original spoke wheels, 4 of them have decent tires on them. Tons of mechanical work has been done to the car. Newer brakes, new master cylinder, new fuel pump, new thermostat, new alternator, new front suspension kit including kingpins and new A arms, Newer Exhaust system/plus I have a Harley muffler I was planning on putting on that I will include, brakes just flushed and bled, and tons of electrical updates and work done. All in all its a great little ride that runs perfect and would be a great easy full restore job or would be just fine left as is. If you wanted the car to be perfect it would need some dash updates (Fuel Gauge doesnt work, split in the dash in the typical mg spot), fresh paint (sides look really good but hood and rear show age and have some peeling), engine bay cleaned up (ive done a lot of work on the engine but nothing to beautify it, could used cleaned and fresh paint if you wanted it to be a true show car), I have replaced most of the suspension bushings that were really bad but the rest could be done as well (it drives great as is but I actually have all the other bushings that I will include), soft top has a small rip in the right rear quarter window and below it in the leather (not horrible still can be driven with the top up or down with no flapping or anything like that, also could probably be repaired rather cheap). I also have two boxes filled with tons of parts as well as a complete library of repair and restoration manuals and the original owners manual that will all be included. THE GOODS: new seats new carpeting new wheels new tires Lots of electrical work done aftermarket head unit aftermarket high power speakers in custom boxes 1000 watt amp mounted in trunk two boxes of extra parts Tons of mechanical work done runs great drives great car cover included (small tear) suspension updates extra wheels and tires newer exhaust harley muffler included numerous repair and restoration books NO RUST OR BODY DAMAGE!!! Low Miles! The Negatives: small tear in soft top (most likely easily repairable) fuel gauge needs replaced paint has some chipping in places small tear in top of dash (easily and cheaply fixed with the MG Dash cover) Feel free to ask any questions! THANKS Jim On Sep-09-12 at 19:01:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Ive had a few people asking about reliability and how it runs. It runs great, engine has no issues, starts right away, idles perfect, burns almost no oil. If you are within a reasonable distance there is no reason you couldnt drive it home if you wanted. Transmission is great and all the gears shift smoothly with no issues whatsoever, clutch works perfect as well. Brakes work great and I just had them apart to check the pads which are still good and I flushed the hydraulic system, filled with new fluid and bled the lines. Please feel free to ask any specific questions you may have on the car. Thanks, Jim
