Vehicle Detail
1962 Ford Falcon Club Wagon (Econoline) Van Hollywood, CA 170 c.i. 6 cyl/ 3 spd manual "on the tree" This van is 50 YEARS OLD! It has its fair share of squeaks and rattles, but over all I would say it runs great. Starts right up every time We regularly do 65 or 70 on the freeway no problem (It IS a 3 speed though, so it does rev up high at those speeds). We get stuck in LA traffic all day long with no problems ever. Have driven it on day trips. We bought this van in Nov. 2008, took a whole year to finally get all of the paperwork straight and in my name (out of state nightmare), and started really working on it in 2010. Clean title in my name and current CA registration. Since 2010: Re-upholstered both front seats Re-upholstered both bench seats (with orig. style removable hold-downs!) -Both bench seats are easily removable and the front one can be flipped around to face the rear Had interior fiberglass trim all painted Rebuilt orig. carb correct for this vehicle New shocks New Clutch New Muffler & exhaust pipe Rebuilt steering box (was super sloppy before) Had brakes all redone- stops well (for drum brakes) and in a straight line New fuel pump and some fuel lines New water pump Flushed all fluids including trans and rear differential Valve adjustment, tune up, oil change and spark plug wires Replaced misc bulbs, lenses, gaskets, switches, some wiring etc. Major work was done replacing ALL of the roof drip rails around the entire van (Thanks Mike!) Roof was rusted out swiss cheese all the way around before. The driver side and rear are near perfect, the passenger side is a bit wavy but passable. Lights, speedo, signals, horn, gauges work Side step works… opens and closes with the door, but is a bit sticky to get open all the way Includes ALL of the side stainless steel and aluminum trim! Missing the rear arm rests but includes the steel panels that hold them. Aluminum Rims have an original FoMoCo stamp, can't imagine what they were from… Mustang II maybe? The tires have tons of tread left but were on the van when I bought it, and are drying out/ getting old. Odometer reads 27100 and I believe to have flipped over only once (so 127,100), but obviously I do not know for sure. I have tried to be as honest as I can about the condition of this van but please ask questions and feel free to request pics of a specific area. Just give me a day or 2 to respond, my schedule is hectic. Or come check it out in person. Misc. original parts included with sale Located in Hollywood, CA 90038 No shipping, but I will be happy to help load it on a flatbed. No warranty, no returns Paypal up front or cash at time of pickup
