Up for sale is a 1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Hardtop in Wimbledon White. This Bird is in great condition with 90707 miles, which I believe to be actual mileage. This Thunderbird has a new trunk kit matching the original look. The car is fully powered with electric windows, power seats, power disk brakes and a new matching AM/FM radio (with proper trim) which has capabilities to add a CD changer and/or Ipod. This TBird was recently re-painted in its original color of Wimbledon White, Body Color Code “M”. At the same time a new black vinyl top was professionally installed, which, was not originally offered by Ford, but, really complements this car. The body is straight with no dents or dings. Also, new chrome spoke wheels with new tires were installed. The original rear fender skirts go with the car (not pictured). All chrome trim, bumpers and grill are in great condition. All exterior light lenses are in excellent condition and are clear and operational. The interior is Aqua Crinkle Vinyl, Trim Code 57 in good condition with no rips or tears. The driver’s seat has been previously repaired. The headliner is in great condition. Except for one split, the dash is in good condition. The carpeting is in good condition except for the driver’s position which shows wear. The console and gauge clusters are in great condition. The gauges are clear and operational. The door panels are also in great condition. The steering wheel moves out of the way to the right. Mechanically, this Thunderbird runs smoothly and drives great. It is equipped with the 390 cubic inch V-8, Code Z, with 315 horsepower and 427 ft-lbs of torque. These cars were shipped from the factory with 10.5:1 compression ratios to develop these types of power numbers. The car is equipped with a smooth shifting 3 speed dual range automatic and a 3:1 rear axle ratio. It is equipped with power steering and air conditioning, but, the AC does not operate properly. This Bird has excellent brakes that do not squeak or drag; the suspension is nice and tight; and the exhaust system is completely new. Maintenance done from 4/27/06 to 7/7/2011 include: regular oil changes; Replace Master Brake and Rear wheel cylinders; Install new after market stereo; Install electronic ignition; replace fuel tank float; replace fuel pump; repair fuel gauge; repair voltage limiter; replace heater valve; replace headlights with halogen; Replace battery, battery tray and battery cable ends; repair horn; replace AC compressor clutch and bearing; service transmission; replace radiator core and replace heater core; replace alternator; replace all belts and hoses; replace distributor; tune up with plugs, distributor cap, rotor; and detail top of engine.
