Up for auction is a 1953 MG TD. Vehicle has been in storage the last few years and was recently brought out. Car runs and drives and has been driven around the neighborhood a little bit. Engine seems to run a little rich. Wiring is tagged and needs to be cleaned up under the dash. Drive train is not original to vehicle and looks to be 2.5 4 cylinder GM motor with automatic transmission from the eighties. Car body looks to have been restored probably 20-25 years ago. Paint condition is average in some areas and shows its age. A thorough buff and wax would help appearance a lot. A couple of spots on driver quarter panel in between door and fender show where paint has bubbled and is probably the worst area on body. Interior seat is nice and looks to be recovered at some time. Dashboard has been redone and is not an configuration. Some of the gauges are Stewart Warner and are moved to in front of the driver. A cassette radio was installed and is functional. Tires have very good tread and seem to have very low miles on them. The chrome is nice driver quality and needs a good cleaning and polishing. The car does not have any of its convertible top components with it. Overall car would be a nice driver for someone after a couple of weekends of clean up and dialing in carburetor and getting some miles put on the odometer with some fresh gas.
