*This cars VIN # is WDB1260321A170899 - The Ebay system does not recognize this number as valid because it is a Grey Market Euro import vehicle* I purchased this Euro Mercedes in February, 2004 from the second owner who lived in Marco Island, Fl. The original owner took delivery of this car in Germany and after a month long tour, imported it back home to Naples, Fl. I have maintenance receipts and records from the second owner and from myself, but I have no records from the original owner. Colorado had issues with the VIN # and gave this car an assigned VIN in place of its original Euro VIN. This vehicle has a clear Colorado title. This car is exceptionally clean and has never been in an accident or had any rust. As a Euro car, this 3.8 liter aluminum V8 has different cams and exhaust producing the power equivalent of the US spec 500 (5.0 liter) engine. Other Euro details include smaller bumpers front and rear, Burl wood interior wood trim instead of Zebrano, manual 2 zone heat and AC instead of the ACC (Automatic Climate Control), and Euro lights. The SE in 380SE means that this car is a short wheel base sedan (a SEL would have a 6" longer wheelbase). This car is equipped with power seats, power windows,power sunroof, air conditioning, and vacuum locks - all in working order. The interior is in very nice condition with a dash that has been custom wrapped / stitched in MB-Tex material and has unaltered door panels. The seats are leather and although a bit dry, still are solid, attractive and comfortable. There is a minor separation on the front passenger seat bottom cushion that is not noticeable unless you are poking around at the leather. Carpets and floor mats are in very good to excellent condition and the headliner is in good condition with no rips or stains. The stereo has been changed to a Sony CD deck with Alpine speakers in stock size located in the factory locations (no modifications made). A new windshield was just installed and all other glass is original to the car and professionally tinted,but there is some minor delamination on the back glass (not a functional problem, only cosmetic). The paint is not original and although it was not repainted to show quality, it is still very presentable with good shine and no major flaws. There are stone chips on the front of the car and some dings and scratches, and a bit of over-spray in places but as a usable driver the paint is acceptable. The engine compartment, door jambs and trunk retain their original paint. All trim is present and in good condition and the bumpers are straight and clean. There is ZERO rust on this vehicle. Mechanically this vehicle is in good running and driving condition. The 4 speed automatic transmission shifts cleanly and is in good working order with no known problems. The engine runs well with the following new parts: Bosch fuel injectors and seals, fuel pump relay, overload relay and coil. There is a small miss at idle (under 800 rpm) but power is smooth and strong after that. I have not had the car registered in for 2 years - it needs to be driven and have a few fresh tanks of fuel through the system and see if anything changes. Despite its sitting, I would currently drive this car anywhere with few reservations. Inspections welcome, $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction close, balance on delivery.
