I am selling my 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX - 5 speed - AWD Turbo 160,692 Miles I am the second owner of this car, it has been really well taken care of cosmetically (given its a 10 year old car). When I got it some of the interior pieces were scratched or cracked, I have since replaced them with OEM parts. All electronics work with no issues; keyless entry, power windows, power locks, power mirrors and alarm. MECHANICS: Engine does have a tapping noise. I have had a mechanic look at it and I was told it appears to be one of two things; one of the valve seats has come loose so it would need a valve job or possibly there is an injector issue (there is a lack of power when driving). It does not appear to be a rod bearing. I have not been driving the car as I do not want to cause any further damage. The car does drive now it is just very low on power (I would recommend a tow as I am not sure what long drive would cause). All fluids have been recently changed out; Oil (Royal Purple), Transmission (Royal Purple), Diffs (Royal Purple) and Coolant. Car does not over-heat and all fans work. AC Belt did recently break and the others are near needing to be replaced. Clutch was recently replaced so it is strong. Everything is stock. Brakes are also in good condition and no issues with transmission. INTERIOR: No cracks or major issues inside. Floor mats are showing age and drivers seat has some wear on bolster. Aside from that everything is in good condition. OEM Lamco boost gauge, aftermarket MP3 CD Player, Center clock was recently replaced with a new one (they fail after a while). Roof liner needs some cleaning and tint is starting to peel in places (especially on passenger window). All electronics work and AC blower does work (just needs belt). EXTERIOR: Car has a CWest body kit on it that was painted, the front has a lot of small chips on it and some of the sides need a good polish and wax. Overall the car's paint is 7/10, anyone who knows Subaru paint knows its thin so it has the usual small mars and chips but nothing major. Someone with some polish & claybar could make it look great. Tires all have good tread on them, previous owner painted OEM wheels white and that is looking a little dingy now. Has OEM spoiler. Over all the car is a great project or if someone put a little money into engine they would have a fantastic car. I just do not have the time or money right now to take care of it. If you have any questions on the car please let me know. Let me be clear on this, I am not 100% sure what is going on with the engine what I stated is just what mechanic told me I had look at it. It could be a simple fix it could require rebuild, also I would not recommend driving long distance if you win, if you are near by that is no issue (I took it out for 3 miles today) but any long distance I would recommend tow as to not damage anything further. I am just going by what folks have told me and what can be diagnosed without pulling engine. BID ONLY IF YOU UNDERSTAND THIS. Also please know bidding is not a right to come look at the car and then decide to bid. Too many buyers on ebay like to bid, win and then decide to buy. YOU ARE AGREEING TO PURCHASE IF YOU WIN, I also will not entertain pickup until deposit is paid. 3) Yes all lights, radio, wipers, locks, alarm, etc. work. Only problem is no power and engine noise and again I do not know what the issue is. I am sorry to be so blunt but I am getting 10+ questions a day and lots of folks coming to look at car and asking if they can buy it then. Its on ebay for a reason :) Also see people with negative feedback for car buyer auctions where seller stated they did not come to get car or tried to negotiate price. Not here to play games.
