Vehicle Detail

This is an amazing car that has been in my family since 1963. It was special ordered at that time by my father and everything is original on it today. It has been garaged since we built the garage for it in 1968. This car was bought and stored at our cottage in Northern Wisconsin and used only in the summertime until my folks retired in 1981. It was kept as a second vehicle, occasionally used in the summer only and has been ever since (thus the low mileage). My father always said if you take good care of a vehicle, it will last a lifetime. I believe he was right. My husband and I have run into some financial issues which have resulted in the decision to let "our girl" go at this time. The vehicle is in great shape maintenance wise, we have our local mechanic check her out ever spring for a clean bill of health! She is a blue 4 Door Sedan with a 389 V8 Engine and a 4 Barrel Carburetor. My folks told me there was a positraction rear axle also. The tires are only a few years old and have less than 500 miles on them. The radio works, but has a static sound on the volume knob, we were told there was "dust in the contacts" that could possible be cleaned. In the 70's we mounted a "Pioneer" 8 Track Tape Player in the front that still works well, we had 60's music we wouldplay alot. My father mounted a CB Antenna (when they were popular) on the trunk, the antenna is in the trunk and the mount is still in place on the trunk. The car was repainted (same as original color) sometime in the late 70's I believe because my mother though the color was fading, for the sake of an arguement my dad just had it repainted. I'm sure it just needed a good buffing out. In going over the car these are my general notations: Some, not many small paint chips on sides of car but no rust on them. Front dash is like new, no cracks or discoloration. Som fading discoloration on back window panel (could easily be re-painted). Clock does not work but is original, we just never got it checked out. Drivers door arm rail has vinyl is cracked. The lower portion only (bottom 4 inches) ot eh vinyl door panels in the front seat and left back seat have cracks but no rust appear to be under them from what I can see. There is some rust in the trunk. That is all that I can say is wrong with the vehicle. The car has the following and is all original parts: Inside Mirror Adjuster, Push Knobs for Radio, Push Knobs for Heater/Defroster (Heater and Defroster work well), 2 speed windsheild wipers (new wiper blades) with washer button. manual windows, front seat belts only, original Pontiac floor mats (front and back), radio with rear speaker switch, vents all work like new (great air output!) Windshield has the darker suntinting across the top. Horn works great. Engine and Transmission work exceptionally. Other that that I can tell you we've had her in our local car show the last 5 years (just for fun) and she's taken 1st place 3 years now in the Stock Category, 2 place two years earlier. She also won the "People's Choice Award" on year! (of which I was proud as my folks were smiling down on that one!) This is an original car, no body damage was ever done to it, and it runs grat, could drive anywhere with it. All mileage was coutnry miles! With very little work this car could look brand new again. We are not into collector cars, we kept her and maintained her for the memories she's given our family. She may not be a convertible, but she's the fastes and was our own muscle car for our lifetime. Now we are hoping she finds a place in someone elses heart. My husband and I have chosen to have a "No Reserve" Auction and rely on our faith that there is someone who will fall in love with her and take good car of her. Although it is with a heavy heart that we put this up for auction pleas know that we will gladly send any additional pictures needed or answer any questions you may have. We are asking for a $500.00 deposit with 48 hours of auctio nclosing through paypal and cash or bank cashiers check for the balance upon pick up. We thank all of you who may consider our girl, she will be as good to you as she was to us I am sure......
