Vehicle Detail
Dodgezilla! Very solid Western Powerwagon 4WD 3/4 ton with rare large back window. 4 speed on the floor. Power steering. This was originally a US goverment special order vehicle and has many rare features such as the big back window, a beefier military grade gear box etc... Original Gov placards in cab. Spent many decades as a firetruck in the US fire Service in dry Idaho. Comes with original flashing red light for roof. Still has numbers on roof for firefighter airplane identification. A Montana farmer bought it at Gov. auction and used it to pull his wife's horse trailer to shows for a few years. I bought it from him. This was a western truck. Very little rust for the age. Was factory undercoated. You can see paint where the undercoating is peeling off. Cab corners, rocker panels, and floors - usual trouble spots on these old Dodges - are all original and very solid.Everything works. 4WD works fine etc... I have 4 stock rims with good snows. mounted are 4 all-season road tires in very good condition. Smooth ride! All new shocks, new tierod ends. Truck drives and handles very nicely for a 45 year old!. Shifts smoothly - a blast to drive. This is a rare gearbox with evenly spaced gears. Hi/Lo range. Warn locking hubs. Will pull stumps, or cruise at 75 MPH - no problem. New muffler, new old stock carb, new exhaust gasket, new battery, new starter, full lube and tune -up. Starts reliably, runs excellent. Bomb proof slant six truck motor - very reliable. New turn signal lenses etc.. Everything works as it should. Good heater. Bed is just plywood over slightly dryrotted stock planks, but if you want I can include some Vermont hemlock planks for restortaion. See photos of my other Dodge bed that I did (Red truck). hemlock will outlast the stock oak. sale includes title, spare carb, 4 stock rims with snows, combo hitch, and seasoned Hemlock boards for a new bed. Has two dents: one in passenger door, one in passenger side wheel well (someone back into a post). Both easy fixes. With a small amount of body work, and a paint job this could be a show quality truck. I had planned to restore it myself but it may have more appeal as a stock driver because it is so original. If it doesn't sell, I will restore it. If you are looking for a very solid daily driver with a lot of character - here it is! This truck is very functional. It has a 9 foot bed and can handle heavy loads.Or would make an excellent restoration project. Call me with questions. This is a 40 something year old truck. It is not new. Sold as is. Buyer to arrange shipping. I'll help however I can. Local/regional delivery negotiable. Goodluck bidding. See my feedback. It's a great truck!Call me with questions 802-345-four-eight-five-seven. Vermont is a bit out of the way for some shippers. Depending where you are, it may be much cheaper/faster to ship from Albany/Schenectady NY. For $100 I can deliver to a shipping hub in Schenectady, (which is about a three hour drive from here.) DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers) has a hub there. This truck has power steering. You can swing it from one side clear to the other with two fingers! On Jul-12-12 at 19:29:26 PDT, seller added the following information: The clutch cylinders have now both been replaced with new, and a new line, with fresh fluid. Note photos. Everything is working beautifully! On Aug-16-12 at 09:54:15 PDT, seller added the following information: It turns out the bed is only 8 feet long, not 9! An experienced Mopar guy/ebayer noticed the error. Sorry for the mix-up. Thanks - Jim
