Vehicle Detail
Very nice 1972 Porsche 914 with Renegade V8 conversion. All work professionally done. The car is in great condition and drives beautifully. As you can imagine, it is very fast and turns heads everywhere it goes. In final drive, at 3000rpm, it will be at 90mph and there is still 3500 more rpm to go. Never been there. Car has never been abused and has been babied while in my care. Car shows well and is always an attention getter. Engine sounds awesome. Not loud just very healthy. Engine is a specially built 302ci Chevy V8 supplied by Scoggin-Dickey and designed to produce 340 HP. Engine alone was $4500. Most of the modifications and upgrades were made by the previous owner and I have most of the receipts which total around $30,000 (including car). The body is in great condition and the top is beautiful. The car has been garaged for at least the past 15 years (previous owner and myself) and I have never driven it in the rain. The only modification that this car is missing is the HVAC system. It was never reinstalled after the conversion. I only drive the car on nice days, so I haven't missed it. Also, shorter owners (I'm 6'2) may need to modify or remount the saftey harness to fit properly.
