1956 Ford Customline Hollywood, CA Bought this car in July 2011 from somebody who trailered it from Texas. It hadn't run in years. 223 c.i. 6 cyl/ 3 spd manual 1st year for 12V, still running generator, works great. Good, fun driver, 70 on the freeway no prob. Installed seat belts for 6 (Including 2 RETRACTABLE SHOULDER/ LAP combo belts up front) Brand New WWW Goodyear radial tires Powder coated 4 original rims New gas tank New matching-key ignition and door locks Rebuilt Glass bowl Holley carb New Front door glass (both sides) New Front door vent rubber and window felts (both sides)New Battery, hold-downs and tray (correct size and type for '56) Flushed all fluids including trans and rear differential Recent valve adjustment, tune up, oil change. Replaced misc bulbs, lenses, gaskets, switches, some wiring etc. Lights, speedo, signals, horn, gauges work (not the radio or the clock) No oil or coolant drips at all, ever. Driver door shuts a little rough, the others open and close like a dream. Paint looks good from 20 feet, but many chips, dings etc. Older paint job, some signs of mediocre bondo work etc. Shifts fine but getting into first you have to be almost dead stopped.Odometer reads 16,200 and I believe to have flipped over once, but obviously I do not know for sure.
