Up for auction is (1) 1972 Ford LTD Convertible. As you know these are a rare find. The Old Car Price guide gives a value of this car in #4 condition of $2675. My opening bid no reserve price is $1500.00! This vehicle runs and drives but needs some TLC. This car has its original 400 cubic inch 2 barrel motor that has a factory rating of 172 horespower. The car also has its factory Cruise-O- Matic automatic transmission that shifts very nicely. The car has a power top that works well and air conditioning that appears to need charged. The stainless and chrome have been removed from the car but is in the trunk. The car has original full hubcaps as well as the super cool dog dish hubcaps that are pictured on the car. The car needs the top recovered as well as the seats. I think the back seat might be ok in its original vinyl but currently has a seat cover on it. The front seat would need to be recovered. The door panels are good and very presentable. The windows roll up and down but the front windshield does have a crack in it. There is some rust behind the rear wheels on both sides the floors appear to be fairly solid but I suspect there would some repair. Trunk is solid with the exception of the quarter panel areas. The car runs down the highway with NO vibration and smooth silk! The carb does have a leak in the accelerator pump which would be a simple fix.
