A Southern California Black Plate barn find project with a clean California title. A very solid and rare Dodge 1/2 ton pickup that's been in storage for many years. This model was known as the "pilot-house" cab due to its increased glass area and its higher more spacious cab. It has the optional rear quarter windows for easy rear visibility.The previous owner planned on restoring this truck beginning with the engine. So he pulled the head off of the flathead 6 cylinder engine and took it in to the machine shop for rebuilding and never re-installed it again. The truck has been sitting ever since. The truck needs total restoration including a new windshield. The engine is connected to a column mounted 3 speed manual transmission.These trucks were very simple and easy to work on. Most of the parts from model years 1948-52 interchange with this truck. Would make an excellent father/son winter project. I have no other parts for this truck ...WYSIWYG.
