Vehicle Detail
This is a low mile 2 owner 2004 Marauder. It has super low mileage at just 23,890. As I understand it is one on only 77 2004's that have the combination of Dark Toreador Red paint with Light flint Nudo Leather interior and all three of the options that were ably to be ordered (Moonroof, Heated Seats and 6-DISC CD Changer / Trunk Mounted). I bought the car for a little over a year from it's original owner and have put on just over 7K miles since I bought it. I have all the paperwork that was with the car when new including the window sticker, hang tags, code cards and key tags from the dealer. I also have the Marauder Jacket in the case in size large that is in brand new never worn condition. This is a way above average Marauder! The following is the "Seller's Description" from the listing that the original owner wrote on the E-bay auction that I bought the car off of... This car is being sold by it's original owner (Non Smoker) and was purchased brand new in 2004. It's only being sold because a new Challenger took it's place in the driveway. The car was used to go to and from work which was only a mile from home. The car was not garaged kept. The car has extremely low miles at 16373 miles and the engine has been well maintained with regular oil changes every 3000 miles. All 4 tires were replaced in 2009 with original equipment BF Goodrich G-Force KDWS tires. This dark Toreador Red Marauder is in very good condition! It has damage to the front bumper skin which occurred while the car was parked and a lawn service trailer backed into it. There is no structural damage to the rest of the bumper. There is also a scuff on the passenger side view mirror (see photos). Also comes with a size large leather jacket (never been worn) made only for Marauder owners (see photos). EXTERIOR: Dual Heated Mirrors, Cornering Lamps, Power Moonroof INTERIOR: Speed Control / tilt wheel, Analog Satin Alum Gauges, Nudo Leather Seating, Power Windows and Locks, 8 Way Power front Seats, Auto Dim Mirror, AM/FM Radio with 6 DISC CD Changer, Heated Front Seats FUNCTIONAL: Anti Lock Brakes, Power Adjustable Pedals, Power 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, Performance handling Package, 18" Polished Forged wheels, Front and Rear Stabilizer Bars, All Speed Traction Control, Remote Keyless entry, Anti Theft system These are my notes about the car from my experiences in the last year. This was a second car for me and driven on a regular basis. There have been no modifications made to it and everything on it is original or replaced with original equipment (such as tires and battery). The car drives out great with no issues at all. It has the usual front of the engine "chatter" upon start up that the Mustang and hi performance motors are known for. This noise has been present since the day I got the car and has not gotten any worse as the miles go on the car. I understand from the forums and chat pages that this is a common thing with the Ford hi-pro engines. There are a few flaws on the body of the car that I showed in the photos. The front bumper has a tear in it, no pieces are missing and can be repaired without replacement. The rear bumper has a vertical straight line flaw in it about 6 inches long where I backed into a very thin pole, again no tears and can be repaired without replacement. There is a small scrape on the passenger mirror that's smaller than a quarter. There is also a small scrape on the drivers side rear quarter about 4 inches long right on the wheel opening. There is no body rust at all and very few other small flaws in the paint like rock chips and bird dropping blemishes and the paint has a deep shine like the day it was new! These cars are getting harder and harder to find and especially one in the condition with such low documented miles! I have 100% positive feedback on E-bay and always try and describe my items as best I can in a (sometimes over needed) honest way so there is no issues when the item arrives. If you have any questions or request further pictures of the car, please feel free to ask. I will allow this auction run all the way through the end so therefor have no "Buy It Now" price available at this time so please do not ask. The reserve is set at a very fair price so I expect the car to sell the first time around. I am not a dealer and therefor not willing to finance any part of the car, nor am I interested in trades... Thanks and happy bidding. On Aug-01-12 at 10:37:18 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to address the issue of the "engine noise" that I disclosed in the ad for this Marauder. I stopped by the Ford dealer yesterday and asked them for a diagnosis. The mechanic that specializes in these cars and cars like the Mustang 500's and Shelby's with similar engines made the following comments. "This is a common problem on these cars and the main reason is because they "fire off" very quickly due to the hi compression they have. He said that the best way to quiet the noise is to keep the key in the start position just a fraction of a second longer (not even long enough to wind the starter) and this process helps the oil get to the top of the engine sooner and therefor quiets the start up noise. He also said that he could adjust the timing in the computer a bit to lessen the noise by making the car not fire so quickly but it may effect the power... I did NOT do this. He also said that The newer mustangs are not showing this sign anymore due to the factory setting in the start button is set to hold the starter on automatically so this cures the problem that has to be done manually in a car like the Marauder. " I have been doing this since he told me this and there is absolutely no chatter noise present when this process is used. I also want to emphasize that I was not saying there is a problem with the engine in this car, It is in wonderful shape and runs like a top with a ton of power! As I said in my description I try to tell EVERYTHING about my cars when I list them so there are no surprises. Thanks...
