Vehicle Detail

The Pontiac Catalina will go down in automotive history as one of the longest running and most successful platforms in GM history. The Catalina badge has been affixed to Pontiacs from 1950-1981. From 1950-1958, the name would denote hardtop body styles that first appeared in the 1950 Chieftain Eight and DeLuxe Eight lines. In 1959, the Catalina emerged as a seperate model and featured a full line of automobiles. Due to its sporty appearance, powerful engine offerings, and affordable price, the vehicle was an instant success for the Pontiac Motors Division. The Catalina offered stiff competition for not only Chevrolet Impala, but also Buick LeSabre and Oldsmobile 88. The final year of production was 1981. Over 3.8 million Catalinas were sold between 1959-1981. The Catalina you are bidding on is a 1970 model that drives as good as it looks. This vehicle has been customized for maximum visual pleasure and performance and best of all, this vehicle comes with all of its original parts. With the 37,560 original miles and the VIN number match to the car, engine, and transmission, this classic car is the perfect addition to any car enthusiast collection. This vehicle is far from the normal Catalinas that you may have seen in the past or any vehicle on the road. A few performance upgrades made to this vehicle include a Edel Brock high rise aluminum intake, and a high performance timing chain. Other parts that have been replaced on this 1970 Pontiac Catalina are new motor lifters, new rocker arms, a new exhaust system with tips, new pistons, a new fuel pump, new rims, new wiring and holsters, and biggest of all a new frame. In addition to all the performance and mechanical upgrades, this car also includes interior upgrades. Some of these parts include six interior TV’s, a wood grain steering wheel and a custom built center console with a double din Polk audio unit. This beauty sports two Polk audio speaker systems in it. Thats four high range speakers, four mid range speakers, and four 12” sub woofers. With all these speakers you can bet this Catalina sounds as good as it looks. With the engine and interior upgrades you’d think we would stop there but we didn’t. When you look at the outside of this gorgeous work of art you will find a custom designed paint job and a custom made vinyl top. The paint on this Catalina is custom made green paint that we call Mossy Oak and along the side of the vehicle you will also find the original Pontiac chieftain indian logo. The white paint is also glow in the dark and the chieftain heads glow green. How’s that for unique? The convertible top is also a beautiful asset to this vehicle. The top is a custom built vinyl flex top that also sports the Mossy Oak color. On the back of the car you will also find a rear view camera system to protect this wonderful machine from getting damaged when your backing up. This beautiful car comes with everything listed as well as all the original parts that were taken off including the original emblems. All parts added have been built custom so that none of the original parts or placements have been altered. Less than 4,000 of these Catalinas were made in 1970 so get this car before its too late. Please note that all sales are binding and final. This car is sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied. Please carefully read the terms & conditions of the sale before bidding.
