Vehicle Detail

In 2003, Ford Produced a Centennial Edition of the Mustang. Production was 1,323 Convertible models and only 717 Coupe models. Total production for this Centennial Edition was 2,040. This model came as Henry Ford stated when he created the Model T "Any color as long as it’s Black." The 100th Anniversary models included Premium Verona-grain Imola leather seating surfaces in two-tone parchment, and the Mustang got the GT premium package which included: Power steering, four wheel disc brakes, power windows, power door locks, tilt steering, cruise control, air conditioning, rear defroster, 17" wheels, anti-lock brakes and traction control; dual exhaust; power driver's seat with power lumbar support; leather-wrapped steering wheel; and Mach 460 AM/FM Stereo with six-disc CD changer, as well as 100th Anniversary badges on the fender and deck-lid and embossed on the seats. This is a very desirable and collectible Mustang. There is no history of damage or accidents. With the exception of the driver's bolster the interior is in very good condition with very little wear. I purchased this car in 2009 with 39k miles on it. The mileage is currently a little less than 66k. I hadn’t intended to drive it very much, but I liked driving it and it practically became my daily driver… still the mileage averages out to only about 7,000 miles/year since 2003. The car is located in Southeast Florida. The previous owner and I have both stored it in a garage (not sure about prior owners). Exterior: * The weakest area is the paint on the front of the car. There are quite a few rock chips from highway driving (see pictures). There are places around the grill and on the hood scoop where the paint is worn off (see pictures). * There are no major dents in the car. There are small dings, scuffs, and scratches in various places. The damage occurred prior to me owning the car. * Paint is definitely daily driver condition. If you need perfect paint – this is not the car for you. Interior: * Driver’s seat bolster shows some wear but otherwise the interior of the car is in very good condition. * All gauges/instruments/lights/windows/radio/etc. work as new. Drive train: * The 4.6 starts, runs, and drives great. * The 5 speed transmission shifts smoothly. * The rear gear ratio has been changed to 3.73 and the speedometer was not accurate when I purchased the car. I purchased a Predator tuning device and set the computer to reflect the new ratio so the odometer would read accurately. I did not install the tune on the engine. The car may actually have quite a few less miles on it than the odometer shows, but I can’t be sure and don’t want to mislead anyone. I regularly get 25-27 mpg the highway and 20-24 mpg in mixed driving. The best was 28.7 mpg with a strong tail-wind and a really light foot. * It has Eibach 1” lowering springs at all four corners. * Aftermarket exhaust has an awesome tone (Flowmasters if I remember right). Other: * All four tires are brand new on the original wheels. An alignment was performed at the time of tire installation. Oil and filter were changed (always with full synthetic) at the same time. *I have a spare set of Cobra chrome five spokes in very good condition. Two of them have good tires. The other two tires are bad. *I also have a second set of Cobra five spokes in poor condition. They have practically brand new tires that have all managed to find a nail or a screw right on the edge of the tread and sidewall. They will come with the car if the buyer wants them. * Black out covers on the taillights. * A/C is cold. *Everything works as it should. * The Predator tuner will be included with the purchase of the car * I have the 100th anniversary leather owner’s manual cover, key chain and watch that were mailed to buyers of this very special car. All are still in their wrappers in the original box in which they were mailed. This item will be an extra cost item if the winner of the car is interested in it. * The car has been well cared for while in my possession. It has not been run hard and it has been properly maintained. What it needs: * Nothing, if you don’t mind the paint issues. Non-refundable payment of $500 due within 48 hours of auction end through Paypal or overnight mail in the form of a cashiers check. Remainder to be paid by CASHIERS CHECK within seven (7) days of auction end. Paypal is NOT accepted for final payment! I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is advertised in various places. It is the buyer’s responsibility to coordinate delivery of the car (I will help in whatever way I can). Please do not bid if you do not have the funds available NOW. Talk to your banker/lender/spouse before placing a bid. Ebay is a binding contract. Non-paying buyers will be dealt with to the fullest extent allowed. Again – if you don’t intend to buy, please do not bid.
