Vehicle Detail
1969 SCOUT DEALER DEMO 800A V8, AIR CONDITIONED, 4 SPEED Anyone with money can have a nice restored Scout. But there only original once...and this IH is all original and was “top of the line...in 69!” This Scout was bought in San Antonio TX with 600 miles on it as a IH Dealer Demo. I bought it from the original family. The Scout is a Factory 304 V8 Engine with Factory 4 Speed Transmission, dealer installed Air Conditioning that blows ice cold WITH R-12, Carpet, Radio, Sliding rear windows, rear seat with factory seat belts, even the original cardboard headliner is there and in good shape. It has “Power-Lok” differentials front and rear, rare ARISTOCRAT roof rack, original hub caps and new tires all the way around with less than 2,000 miles on them. The Scout sports it’s original paint from 1969. Everything works on this Scout, even the windshield washer squirter and the turn signals still cancel. Well...I take that back...the original radio went dead, I think its just a fuse somewhere. All the gauges work, and they are all original. The overhead and map light work, and all the doors lock. The glove box holds original manuals and International “Line Setting ticket.” The paint looks good for 43 years old but has scratches, dings etc. On the passenger side there must have been an old dent that was worked, because there are signs of old body work. There are no rust issues in the truck, and I’m happy upon requested to email pictures of the underside. The Scout runs and drives as it should and has 119k miles. The engine sounds good, at start up sometimes a puff of smoke will release due to old valve guide seals. But once the truck is running, it does not smoke. The clutch is strong and the brakes are good but the right front wheel cylinder has recently started to leak. The Emergency Brake works well. If you’ve got questions, I’ve got answers, please call Houston Wills at 210-548-1310 between 9am-7pm CST. THE WINCH AND WINCH BUMPER HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION. BUT ARE AVAILABLE FOR $850 FOR THE COMPLETE SET UP. PAYMENT AND STORAGE A $500 deposit is required from the winning bidder, due electronically via PayPal within 24 hours after the auction ends, to hold the vehicle. I do not accept Paypal for payments over $500. Deposits only. I will not be accepting trades. Respectfully, please bid responsibly by having any required financing in place before committing to purchase the vehicle as full payment is due within 7 days of auction end via cash or certified bank check (drawn on a major US bank). I can hold the vehicle for 15 days at no charge to the winning bidder after the auction (the charge is $15.00 per day after 15 days unless other arrangement made). I apologize in advance, but bidders with zero feedback will have their bids canceled, no matter what the amount, unless you contact me in advance of bidding.
