Vehicle Detail
For sale 1980 Silver MGB - I purchased this car off Ebay & had it shipped from Ft. Myers, Florida in 2006 with the intention of re-doing the car. Unable to do work on the car due to multiple back surgeries, so must sell instead of letting it set. Once in receipt of the vehicle, looked it over, had a local import shop look over, they indicated good solid chassis, just needs a lot of TLC. Had new parking brake installed by same local import shop in 2006. Last drove & started the car in 2009, did put in a bottle of fuel stabilizer. The car was only driven around the neighborhood for fun, garage kept ever since arriving in Buffalo, have clear title. Have a lot of parts that I searched for from on Ebay & private party in 2006-2007, both new & used including the following: trunk lid, leaf springs, emissions control set-up, new black convertible top, like new black convertible boot cover, black interior door panels, like new black top bolster rails for doors, black arm rests, new black shift boot, distributor assembly, coil assembly, alternator, air pump rail for head w/belts, new genuine Lucas headlight switch, like new chrome side trim set, black license plate holder, glove box & cover, coin dish tray & line up kit for console, like new brake hose set, like new leather console, oil/temp/speedometer gauges; brand new chrome mirrors & new chrome front badge from the “B-Hive”. Brand new items from the Victoria British catalog: new brake rotors, new brake pads, brake clip-pad retaining set, pin set for brakes, new fuel filter, thermostat & gasket, valve cover gasket, 175cd carb rebuild kit, Zenith-Stromberg carb tool adjuster, metering needle. There other smaller misc. parts/items on the shelves I have not listed, exhaust bracket, battery cut-off switch, things like that. Instead of taking the car apart & installing the new parts accumulated, I have kept them all in my basement on a shelving unit. The odometer reads 131,352 which I do believe to be original. Per the previous owner the engine & transmission were rebuilt at 100,000 miles. Car has been garage kept since transport from Florida, again haven’t driven or started since 2009. This is a good solid car with a lot of good parts that would make an excellent project car, or great donor car with all the additional parts in great condition that I was able to accumulate. Buyer is responsible for pick-up of car and/or any shipping charges. On Jul-25-12 at 19:25:12 PDT, seller added the following information: **The floor boards and trunk are totally solid, no rust or soft spots, chassis is in excellent condition**
