But they have to be. The police cannot have their cars breaking down on the way to an emergency because of a lack of proper maintenance. The Police Interceptor is one of the safest full size cars that are on the road today. It has a five star crash rating for the driver and passenger. The P71 is also tested in a 75 MPH rear end collision. No other car in the world is tested to that standard. You cannot put a price on your safety. I am sad to see that Ford has quit making this excellent car. The front wheel drive Taurus that is replacing the P71 Vic is disappointing to say the least! Vehicle Condition: This car looks excellent, starts, runs, and drives great. Exterior: ØPaint is very glossy. We only washed this car. The officer that this car was assigned to really kept it clean! It looks good! ØThere are numerous door dings, small dents and scratches. None of which is horrible. This car could use a good buffing. ØNo cracked or broken glass ØOnly two plugged antenna holes on the roof ØOne plugged lightbar hole Interior: ØVery clean ØNon Smoker ØHas a spotlight. ØHas a working auxiliary dome light. Often referred to as a “ticket light” ØThere are a few holes and considerable wear from the laptop on the face of the dash. The steering wheel has a lot of wear too. ØSeats are nice.
